Nice to see you too Jo, and everyone else.

Not been around much, just pop in for a quick check that you all are ok when I have a spare minute.

Work has taken me over, no time for 10k, or even 10p at the moment.

Trying to decide whether to jack it in and just do my bits n pieces to earn a crust.
I started the dribble challenge to make enough to justify stopping my well-ish paid but draining job.
Panic is setting in, just don't seem to have the oomph to go for it - worried that I will earn about £20 a month if I do, lol.

I am not good with decisions these days. Rational = keep on doing the job, easy money in some ways, soul destroying in others.
Heart = make less but on my own terms.

Eek, off to do a bit of work before bed. Might need a bit of hand holding, now that I have admitted (to myself too) what
    has to be decided.

    xx truly

Hi Truly, good to see you again. Personally I think you should follow your heart. But that's easy to say, not as easy to do, especially when you need the cash to live on. I have always been of the opinion that you have to love your job or at least be content with it. If you hate it, then you have to get out. But that is my opinion, please don't go and hand your notice in tomorrow

Munchki - oh my goodness, I love chocolate cheesecake. Yay! I have some bottles of Shloer, and thought I'd bring those with me if that's okay. I always feel as though I'm drinking wine when I'm drinking Shloer so I won't feel left out. Really looking forward to seeing you and Toots, and please please please don't worry about the house. I have 9 cats in my house at the moment - although 5 of them are teeny tiny cats - and the only thing really clean is my sink and their bed - I'm thinking about sleeping in the kitchen tonight :rotfl:

So I really won't be concerned if a wall isn't painted somewhere.

Jo, great day for your mini-move as I'll be spending a good chunk of it with our Dribbler friends. I've made such a lot of changes and decisions since joining this thread and all due to the people on it, so it will be lovely to spend some real time with some of them.

I lost another pound and half this week, so that's 8.5 so far. I really noticed my work trousers being baggy this morning. I feel so good, and can't believe I've fought this stone for 4 years, and have almost got rid of it in a few weeks. I also went Salsa dancing again and moved up to the Improvers class.

    Life is good :T

Morning Elly. you sound happy and well done on the weight loss and you too Joey.
evenstar good luck with the move.
truly I'm with Joey on this but also know that its not that easy. is there any part time job that you could go for like care assistant or cleaning to make the transition less scary? they might not be jobs you would love full time but you might enjoy them for a small part of the week knowing that they support you in doing your own thing. - just a thought?
Joey you sound really happy at the moment. lovely to hear so thanks for sharing.
Paula hugs to you whether you need them or not.

    Morning Dribblers *wave*

The sun is shining here today, hope it lasts and I can take it with me on my jaunt south! By the way, do us heathen Scots need our passports to cross the border nowadays?? :D

Truly, such a difficult decision I can understand, it's a giant leap and it can be so hard to have faith and jump. Not quite like your situation, but I walked out of my well paid banking job about 5 years ago, I had a life-is-too-short-for-this-carp/stress moment. I now manage to get by month to month in a job where I don't really have to use my brain, but it's also one where when I leave at night, I don't think about it anymore until I get there the next morning. My kids told me not longer afterwards that they were so glad I'd done it, despite having to pinch the purse-strings a bit, because I was back to being a happy mum. I have no regrets.

Off in a bit to get organised, just been letting this morning's migraine aura pass - bliddy typical, why this morning??!! Anyhow, will pop in later, might even attempt a post from the train if I can figure out how to do it from the mobile!
