It was me that opened the Barclays ISA - good luck with it all - Halifax don't deserve your business - you did what I would have done - WALK!
BUT - your current account may be better put elsewhere - have you loooked at Abbye and Alliance & leicester? (All Santander now but anyway...) . If you have £1000 going in every month - they pay you - around 5% I think! hang on I'll see if i can find it!
They pay 6% of balances below £2000. Monthly fee if less than £500 going in. TBH sign up if there still doing the £100 incentive then leave after 4 months. There customer service is atrocious!!0 -

How is everyone? NLID sorry to hear of your troubles. If there is anything i can do to help let me know. Quick question as i never done it before but i can see any exclusion on turbolisting for the free listing days this weekend? does anyone know if turbolister is ok to use during them? heard in the past buyers got stung by listing that way?
It's usually NOT possible to use Turbolister - but I think last time they fiddled around and changed their minds and allowed it with free listing! So - can't say - I don't use turbo lister - but even if you just tick all those little boxes in your "Unsold" list and then "Relist" they still charge you on free listing days!
Perhaps ask over on the Ebay thread? They're usually clued up on it all.0 -

I used turbo on the last free listing day, didn't know I wasn't allowed to and it worked fine. found it very longwinded though and easier just to list.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Best finds so far for me have been
*Fill the sink with water and drip oil based paint onto water surface. Swirl with stick/chopstick. Lay a peice of or ordinary paper onto water, but dont let it soak and lay it to dry and you instantly have different wrapping paper.
*Use body lotion intead of shaving gel when shaving legs/under arms.
*Complain about bad service and equally write and praise good service, you never know what discounts you might get
*Vinegar and water are amazing at cleaning glass and mirrors
*Old lipsticks mixed with vaseline makes a fantastic lipgloss
*Drop of essential oil on lightbulbs freshens the room when lights turned on. Much cheaper in long run than air sprays etc.0 -

For me it's easier as i have my daughter down amys mums tonight so can get all the listings onto turbolister before she comes back then upload them tomorrow morning when i get up. thats why and yes i agree turbolister is a pain but with around 100 items to go on and no daughter tonight its much easier for me.:j:jDribbling my way to financial success:j:j

The first thing DD asked when I picked her up from school tonight was what had happened in the election today - there is no hope for her!
BTW don't know if any of you are trying to explain to children, but this is how I explained it to DD when she started asking questions.
You are in a group of 7 friends and each week you vote on what to do on Saturday.
4 of you want to go to the cinema, 2 want to go ice skating and 1 wants to go bowling. That's a majority.
3 of you want to go to the cinema, 2 want to go ice skating and 2 want to go bowling. That's a hung parliament.
If the 3 of you who want to go to the cinema agree with the 2 who want to go bowling that they will change their vote to go to the cinema, in return for you voting to go bowling next week, that's a coalition.
Seemed to work with her! As her questions got more sophisticated, the metaphor got expanded to include the party whip and free voting LOL.0 -
I agree HHH - I spent all yesterday afternoon listing on turbolister and a few more to go on this afternoon. Then tomorrow night I'll upload them all at the same time - it also means that if you still get excited about items finishing like I do  they all finish around about the same time.
Thank Mrs Money, just going to look at your link now. I've never changed my current account before - had it since the day I left school with the Halifax - so am a bit worried about moving it, but I'm assured by the various banks that they do everything and it should be a very smooth change. Gulp!
I did some mystery shopping last year to save up for a holiday, and loads of them involved going to bank/building societys and pretending I wanted to change banks. I should have done it this time too - I could have made some money over the last few days. Dang!! Opportunity missed!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0
