aha!!! got sky by the curleys.
see my rant earlier about trying to cancel to catch up. rang them tonight with OH on hand to say they can talk to me, got through to one guy who said sorry your through to wrong place, even though I had chosen correct options, then he refused to transfer and hung up on me!!!!
rang back furious through to cancellations, spoke to a lovely lady who seemingly convinced me to stay with sky.
If I took the hd package for £10 per month there was 12mth tie in but I got free box and free install or for £29 they would give me a brand new sky+ HD box with 12 month warranty, no minumum contract, no £10 per month extra (but only get free to view HD channels bbc1hd etc) with install of £15.
So for £44 I am getting brand new sky+ HD box on tuesday, I should be out of hospital by then. I also clarified that I could still leave at anytime as there was no tie in. ;-)
So next week I will be joining virgin for free with v+ HD and selling my brand new 500gb sky+HD box on ebay (currently selling at around £100).
Thank you sky for giving me a potential £50 for leaving you.Would like to: Retire at 54. 19yrs .Clear mortgage by 50. 16yrs. Clear Secured debts by 43. 8yrs.Clear Unsecured debt by 39. 4yrs.
