French Bulldog maybe? They are wee small things with similar looking faces. Think they're quite quiet wee dogs.

Yes it is, I googled it. They are a one-man/one-women dog and become extremely jealous of partners/children/other pets. Shame. The pups could turn out to have a more pug temperament, but you just don't know

what is this pug crossed with?

A bit easier on the bank balance, extremely cute. Raised around children

Be very wary about buying pups from Wales - it is where many of the puppy farms are based - I think Carmarthenshire especially, which is where this pup is being sold from.

There was a very good rogue traders doc about it - link here -

The dogs trust also has a good campaign at the moment and info - I believe they also rehome to people with small children so may be worth contacting ... (loads of info on buying a pup here too):

There was an It's me or the dog programme on today and the people had 3 boxers and a french bulldog all living together, and that wasn;t one of their problems?

Makes me sick, thanks for the heads-up.

really jackieglasgow? It is generalisation again though, all those dogs...probably accustom to not getting lots of attention.

This might be the perfect one for us:

In need of rehoming as the family bought him for a friend for their other dog, other dog keeps attacking him.

He is a Pugalier Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Pug.

    Temperament:
Temperament isn't really an issue with either of these breeds. Both are affectionate, though the Cavalier is somewhat more compliant and calm than the Pug. Both breeds have a very 'human-friendly' disposition and the cross breed is much the same. The Pugalier has proven to be an outgoing, inquisitive and fun-loving dog and is highly recommended around children.

I might actually call this lady in the morning. Ah just seen where they are based. I will go through a background check with her, if anyone could give me some pointers?

I thin overall the breed secifications gives you a rough idea, but individuals vary a lot.. its one of the advantages of getting a slightly older dog - you can see what its like... whether its calm or lively, relaxed or highly strung etc

Rocco is sweet, but is a bit hairy for me and the rest seem to be Jack Russells and I haven't met a non-nippy little git yet :rotfl:

I've only read this page, and don't really want to read the previous one's ...scarey..ish.....but re Jack Russells
We have 2 cross/double/treble cross breed jack russell/patterdale/whippety terrier types, one 16 (for 14 years)....every single person and dog that they have met her has loved them (except their first owners). One visits the school nursery twice a year as 'An inroduction to doggies' type affair as she's so tolerant. I leave the other one at home as she's more scared of kids than they are of her.....they have given me and both babs so much joy.

They do need a good walk...every single day, but me/OH and FIL do tag team for a biggie every day.

They sleep for the 6 hours I'm at work Mon-Fri, usually on top of each other.

Great pets and even DD (3) can be in control on a walk when he has the lead.:)
Not just a sucker for sweeties..:o

it's a cross of two breeds with major health problems - and both tend to have cardiac problems... I would want to research the health checks that should ba carried out on both Pugs and CKCS before breeding and be certain they had been carried out on both parents - and that the results were acceptable... if this pup is from a responsible breeder, it should be really going back to them for rehoming...

    - Do be wary of some of the dodgy puppy scams that go on through the classifieds or you could get ripped off - google puppy scams and I am sure you will find info.

    Health and lifespan
The whole point of this particular cross breed is to produce a healthier, more robust dog. So does it work? Breeders say that less wrinkles are evident, reducing the likelihood of skin problems which can be associated with the skin folds. In most, though not all offspring, snouts have become more elongated; minimising breathing problems and permitting the dog to exercise more freely and reducing concerns of overheating. However, plenty of water and shade is always advised.

I have registered on Pug rescue and will contact an animal rescue center. I think I am talking myself around to an adult dog, around 2-4 years old, it might save me alot of agro

P.S oh yes I would have to see the pooch first, before handing any money over (inc deposits) I don't mind travelling to find the right dog

    .. is that from here?:

If so, they are a breeder, promoting their 'designer crossbreed' (ie. overpriced mutts!!) - you need to look for some less biased information :D I would be more concerned about serious heart defects than skin folds tbh

No I got it from here

    http://www.burkesbackyard.com.au/2003/archives/2003/roadtests/dog_breeds/pugaliers

I tried to look on non-bias sites. I think the general age is 10-15 years for a King Charles. I can't see how they are a designer breed, they are no-where near as expensive and are just a cross-breed really.
