I am in quite a good position to talk about this given the £430 cheque I received from T-mobile when I took them to the County Court. Bought quite a lot of ice cream.
No they haven't. If you get charged, at that point then they will have failed to give notice.
As time stands now none of us have been charged, we have all got the service we signed up to and until there has been a change it is all in limbo. Vodafone could say in 2 weeks time they will honour unlimited internet for you and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on for cancellation.
Right now though any solicitor will tell you until you have suffered a detriment you cannot win in court. I think you need to accept this.0 -

I never made an 0870 call on T-mobile at the higher rate. Here again is the eloquent cheque from T-mobile:0 -
Until a change has happened and that affects you, you have no legal recourse. If you are so convinced I am wrong then waste your time with ranting and the courts, I am one of the successful ones to have cancelled with Vodafone and trying to help others here, you clearly have a polarised view how you will win so get on with it, I will continue to offer my support to others.0

I was clearly ranting and wasting my time taking T-mobile to court when I received this cheque for £430.0 -
Not as far as I can tell. There's nothing on the bill or my account pages to confirm this, and in all the communications I've had from Vodafone, they state that my account is to be cancelled on 30th September.
And having just read that paragraph back to myself, that's why isn't it! D'oh. How thick am I? We pay in ADVANCE, so that's my charge up till the end of the month! *facepalm*
I can smell freedom from the ineptness of Vodafone growing ever closer!!!!
best use your PAC code before the account is closed else you lose the number. The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits0 -
From what you say though T-Mobile made a change, you challenged it and won, I don't doubt it. Vodafone have not made any change yet though, they have said they intend to but they have not yet.
I struggle to understand why you cannot see this. What do you plan to do if Vodafone change their mind on these charges for you and say you won't be charged after all? Do you still plan to go to court in that scenario?0 -

Hehe don't worry, I will. I have until 9th October to transfer, and my new sim should (hopefully) be here tomorrow0 -

It would be great if Vodafone drops the new charge before a PAC is used.
The Early Termination Charge is another detriment. If a PAC is used and Vodafone makes an Early Termination Charge it is not entitled to, whether Vodafone later changes its mind or not, it is detrimental.0 -
Which goes back to my original post which you shot down. I am on your side, I think Voda have acted appallingly but we all have to remember it is too soon to instruct solicitors and file court papers until a change has happened.
I still maintain I think Voda are coming to a realisation this is all going to be costly so they may as well let existing customers do what they have been up to now which could mean a last min u turn on data charging. I do hope one way or another people get what they signed up for or get to cancel failing that.0 -

Whether Vodafone drop the charge or not, I'm leaving. They have been so completely underhand about all this that I'd never trust them again no matter what they did to try and redeem themselves.0
