Memorygirls - Make Do and Mend

I am really sat wracking my brains here about what is making me unhappy at the moment and what i could realistically do in 100 days. I don't want to stretch myself too thin trying to get too much done in different areas so these are my thoughts.
Health - I am about 3 stone overweight. I am only half hearted tackling this at the moment, and i am eating consciously to ease boredeom/depression. I am starting to affect more than my weight though, as my blood pressure was up. Goal - lose 1-2 stone in this period, and do some exercise daily even if this is just a walk to the park or half an hour with the kids on the trampoline.
My relationships - i do not spend enough quality time with the kids even though i am at home all day every day. Same with DH. I want to create 100 memories over 100 days. Not necessarily one thing a day, but something we can later talk about. To do this, the computer needs to go off a bit and we need to get out and about doing some stuff. Particularly important with DS1 starting to go to nursery in September, and i will really miss him. I will regret it if i don't make the most of it.
My friends/social life - i am awful at maintaining these relationships. Do something on a weekly basis to nurture these relationships. 14 times in 100 days.
House/prep for winter and christmas- do 100 things that will make the house more comfortable and efficient. I would love to be snug and all prepared for the festive season rather than run round ragged. I don't personally have to do the job, i can delegate to DH if something like decorating or gutter cleaning that he can do more efficiently. I am thinking decluttering, tidying, repairing, preparing for the kitchen refurbishment to be done in October time.
My mental health/personal development - i need to spend a bit more time just being rather than doing. I pretend time at the computer is that, but really i am too tense and my brain won't switch off at bedtime. Computer to go off at 9 at the latest, and spend the time with DH talking, or knitting, sewing - whatever. Just winding down.
What do i want to achieve altogether? By the end of this time i want to feel a bit more like a grown up. Like i am living and not just counting down the days till next payday and mortgage overpayment. I can still do that stuff, but that is not all i am about.
I have a blog that i haven't updated for a while, so i might use that for keeping more detailed records. I'm picturing doing this stuff in my head, and hopefully some of the energy from this thread and the knowledge others are changing too will be enough to kick me up the bum if i don't do it.0 -
Am I right in thinking it will be the 24 Oct?
and Christmas Crikey moses I hadn't thought about that *goes off making a whole new list.............*Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Morning all.
I will be camping and sailing over the next couple of weeks, so I am going to have a long planning stage.
I have a feeling that NLP, Mind Mapping and Gok's book, hold keys to how I am going to succeed in my two challenges, so I have invested in a book on each. I have given myself until the end of the month to read them all, with a notebook in hand, and to come up with a plan that I will drive to success!
Wishing you all a very successful, life enhancing 100 days. Special best wishes to Mother Swan, MG. Go Girl!I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
I have decided to keep my own diary, as I think I have been too lippy on yours MG. I will let you know my 100 day progress but not bore you with the details. The stage is yours, I will be at the back doing the can can if you need me:j:j:j
One last thing where did you train Elantan?Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -
hi lara thanks for the input ... yes your experiences helped a good bit ... this is one of the things about hypnotherapy ... it is recommended you charge £50 an hour ... i have to admit i dont feel comfortable charging this ... but i know a person that charges £100 an hour and is happy to do so ... she is also very busy and succesful .... but i am aware that £50 is quite a lot of money for people to find
knit where did you train?
Elantan - you know if you charge too little you just attract "tyre kickers" those that are shopping by price and are total PITA's - elevating your prices to the "market rate" - (and £50 per hour is by no means too high), then you attract a better clientel who are happier to pay because they see the benefits rather than the price IYSWIM.
Law of attraction - "I am worth £50 per hour or more, I attract an abundance of clients delighted to pay for my exceptional talents producing extraordinary results"
In my case " I am worth £1500 and more per day, with a fully booked diary, working 50 days per year delivering outstanding and immediate results to my new friends in Mind Mapping, Memory and Study Skills"
OMG!! Now I've got to live up to my affirmation:T:T

A bit of me is going  because that's exactly the opposite of what happened to me - but you sound more clued up than I was, so maybe you're safe!:D
I fed kids nos. 1&2 together for a while and I was nice & slim (also had fantastic legs from all the squatting and lifting, yes, having kids can definitely be good for the body!). Then I fed no. 3 on his own (not being equipped to feed 3 at once - TMI?!) and maintained my weight okay, though there was still some left over from pregnancy which I thought would go. It didn't, because I wasn't using as many calories up. Basically I then slowly increased in weight for ten years and I'm only losing it now.
So I guess what I'm saying is: remember to cut down by the amount of calories you were feeding your baby, plus a few to do the diet bit, if you want to lose weight after feeding a baby.
(Miggy toddles off with a reminiscent smileto read the new posts of this so-fast-growing thread, and think what Gok would approve for today).

Ok!! Today I am wearing
Jeans - yup in the house again and its raining
White crinkle shirt
Chunkly Metal necklace
Blue Stack heels
Sparkly blue bag
Denim bag and blue and white scarf for when I go out later
I actually look like these "together ladies" I see drinking coffee and having lunch in St Andrews as I used to skulk past in my scruffy jeans, trainers and fleece.
It sure does lift my mood though
