If you love baking and you are good with other people's kids why not try doing children's parties? When my DD was about 8 I had someone come to the house who organised about 6 little girls to bake some simple things - pigs in blankets, bread dough bears and mini pizzas etc plus, of course, fairy cakes. They had a lovely time. It wouldn't require you to get Health and Safety certified as you would be doing it in their kitchens, not yours, and if you are a childminder you are CPA checked anyway.

Mums with a bit of money but no time are often very happy to pay good money for someone else to 'do' the party for them especially if it's a bit different to the usual

    Just a thought

Ooooooh Mary now that IS a thought :D
My own kids and mindees LOVE cooking with me.......at least this way I get the fun of baking and my waist thanks me for not doing all the eating :rotfl:
Going to have a brainstorming session when I get chance......:T

OK I haven't read as far in this thread to find out what the Matrix is on here (I just hope it's significantly easier to follow than the film ;)) but can I join and are you happy for me to post on freecycle and ask my friends and family for any old shirts?
Just a question do they have to be a famous team or anything? I mean H has got a footballl shirt he bought for playing indoor 5-a-side which he no longer plays but obviously it's not an actual team shirt - does that matter???

Both emails are great but I was thinking off emailing a few local schools including the one my dd's go to ( the potential of over a 1000 kids:eek:), but the headmasters are going to be asking for a name of the charity and a charity reg no. So I need more info.

In the mean time I'll ask neighbours and friends.

Helping 2 charitys at the same time at the moment, on the 16th oct, i'm doing a ladies driving challenge for marie curie cancer care.

    Hi folks,

Back from not so sunny Haggerston & boy have you been busy.

When DH & I are back at work next week I'll e-mail round the building to see if I any get football stuff & will send DH with a poster & make sure he is well drilled in what is needed so he can also put the word out. (No point in mentioning it just now as he's taken the collar off Tora the Hun so she is now naked & is making her dance on her back legs - he's happy & her tail is wagging. Might have to site her in a divorce)
