the best thing to do i would say is canvas mothers and run the idea past them, how much would they pay? Also put an advert in a cheap free ads paper and guage it by how much interest you get. you could either charge per child. IE £25 per child for 3 hours (include a goody bag and the food they have cooked to take home and that will sound quite cheap!) or a set price, say £100 for the 3 hours with a maximum of 5 children, including a goody bag and ingredients for cooking?debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:0

I think I paid about £100 in total 10 years ago. £100 is probably a psychological barrier. Another way to benchmark it would be to see how much it would be to take a group of kids to a local soft play centre or the flumes at a local leisure centre and have a birthday tea there - though that would probably be for a larger number of children. Alternatively price up a trip to the cinema and a pizza. That would give you the range that mothers would expect to pay for a partyIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
claire that's very generous of you, thank you, ill pm u.
I recently had a party for dd at an indoor play area with a small dinner and ice cream. We were there for 2 hours and the cost was £10 per child and that did not include the cake or goody bags:eek:. Altogether there were 16 children, so i dont think £100 for a 2 hour party is dear at all especially as it is something so different.LBM 04/10:j

Back from Chanter - have got resounding YES from:
Local Surveyor Group - branches right through the country. He's happy to pass an email onto his professional network - and also the clients in the local office.
The Chairwoman of the local Women Into the Network Group - who is certain she can get this in front of every member in Scotland, and she's just phned back sayng she knows three football coaches too.
A Guy from the local RAF base who is happy to get permisson to put posters up on base and collect in cartons for us to collect at a later date.
Nearly stopped a Mason on the street on the way to his Lodge meeting - but the baby was singing "twinkle, twinkle" at the top of hs lungs so didn't in the end. Can always catch him next week.
Am off to find the email of the local dancing school - all those little ballerinas have football playing brothers surely?? LOL
Its amazing when you keep your eyes open how many opportunities there are.
