Please can I play too, memorygirl.
Come on in the water's lovely:)
I have so enjoyed lurking and reading your diary.
You have the most amazing positive take on life and I want to think more in that way too. Put me down for one of your books when you write it.
For the 100 hundred day challenge starting Friday 16th July 2010 I would like to pay a chunk off my debt; lose weight and get on better terms with my 17 year old lad who is doing my head in by playing me off against his father.
It is a real head game in sense that if he cant get what he wants from me he goes to his dads to get it. So I am trying - and it is difficult - to stand back and BESTRONG. EG last night he was supposed to stay at my house but when I went down to collect him he refused to come home. So instead of losing the bap which I normally do, - and yelling - I just stated that I was not happy that he had not kept to his word and left. Which is good for me!!
So to re-iterate my goals in a more precise way, by the time 100 days are over, I would like to
1 Lose 1 stone 2lbs taking me down to 12 stone 8 lbs.
2 Pay £2000 off my debt. Just making my normal repayments would pay off £1698 so if I can pay off £302 extra, that would be cracking. Maybe I can pay off more. Woo hoo. Positive thinking focus girl focus.
3 see the communication improve between my son and I. I admit I have been a doormat and not put boundaries in place for him in the past because I love him so much. But this needs to stop because our relationship has become bad.
4 do a sealed pot challenge to save about £50 towards Christmas.

Right, so two of us are going to write books - we can cheer each other on.
MG
Last weekend of October I will be running Lausanne Marathon - it will be my fifth one. Best marathon though was Loch Ness - lovely runs in Scotland. And anyone can run a marthon - it is a head game...
Writing books - yep and mine is getting pressing. Cheering and encouragement of different kinds will be very welcome.
Memorygirl, if I may, I would like to mention your fears. Loose them - you know that you are never going to find yourself with 71 p and three nappies. You have saved considerably more than that and your son will be potty trained soon (if he is not already). Your house - you fought this one and won. Loosing your fear is so liberating - just follow your passion and the rest will come.

This thread is bursting with energy today. Lovely to see what everyone wants to do.
And as to SAHM wearing cream and being a mum to 2 young boys, the only cream i would end up wearing is nappy or sun cream as my little ones wriggle away from me. :rotfl:
I feel it is a good time for me. I am stuck in a bit of a rut at the minute. Trapped at home while the work gets done, and not able to move forward until the new bathroom is finished. It is getting there, but the guy only works 9-3 as he does the school run for his grandkids, and has also got medical appointments to fit in. The work will be so worth it though.
I am trying to think what the next 100 days bring for us. My DH is 30. My DS1 turns 4. My MIL turns 60. My BIL is due a baby, and DHs best friend from childhood too. Our 5 year wedding anniversary.
I think i would like a goal in several areas - social life, personal health and well being, house, family, paying off the mortgage, preparing for Christmas, earning extra pennies. I know losing weight has to be a big priority as my weight keeps creeping up and i am so busy focussing on paying down the mortgage and bringing a few extra pennies in i am conscious of it but not doing anything about it. I will do a definite list on Friday.
Small suggestion, the thread scrooge uses a lot the complete this challenge thread - that might be a really good one to use for this purpose, and it would save all the personal efforts of Memory girl being diluted. Ignore me if it sounds daft, but it is a very positive thread and scrooge is very focussed on there, and it would not matter how chatty or not everyone was.0 -
MG any help for the business would be fantastic. I'm a hypnotherapist, so I'm helping people give up smoking so they will have more money in their pocket. It's very rewarding, I hope it is a success. I like to think the universe is helping me because I am doing something positive, that helps people.
Thank you elantan I have your quote, I have it on my wall to give me confidence, it makes me feel excited for the future everytime I read it.Sew it, knit it, glue it, reuse it , don't buy it0 -
Ohhhh a fellow hypnotherapist ... Hi0
