  • Claire,

How much more would you charge if I wanted earring with gold rather than silver fixings? I am horribly allergic to anything other than proper gold (bah to ears! they have expensive tastes!)

I will get back to you and let you know when I have found the price of the earwires and headpins :) I've never done gold before.

I sent an e-mail out round the Finance team yesterday asking for football strips and have been promised two shirts so far. Also there has been dangled in front of me the possibility of an entire team's worth as I have a colleague whose daughter's team are changing their strip. The drawbacks to this is that it is a local team rather than a Premier League team and they play in pink (well they are girls). However if any of your kids actually runs a team they may be taken with the idea of a new team strip.
I have been offered various shirts which aren't Premier League (Farsley Celtic anyone?) and I'm gratefully accepting everything. If you don't want them I may have to quietly pass them on to a charity shop or if you get cheap freight then I shall send you them anyway and you could try to sell on any that aren't needed.

What was said about boots as I've been offered them as well?

    Claire,

Mine too :( I can get away with wearing nickle for a couple of hours but after that it's itch itch itch. Thankfully (for my husband) I am more a "silver" girl than gold so end up with the slightly cheaper option ;)

Anyway I wanted to pick all your brains. I've been really enjoying this thread and the positivity and sheer activity on it. Feeling really motivated to do something (I realise since the birth of my kids I've been sort of treading water :o) BUT there are lots of things I'd like to try to boost my income, fit round my family life and my current job as a childminder. I am just not sure if I have enough talent in the things I like though :o I love baking, I love craft/card making etc that sort of thing, I love working with young children (just a bit fed up of my house looking like a creche all the time :o) and I just feel unsure which path to take. Is it just a question of asking the Universe for guidance and seeing what signs appear?? Just really want to put some of this new found energy and enthusiasm to good use :D

    Anyway sorry for the ramble.

MG - good luck with your plans for SA.

clairewop - I'd like to see the duck ones :) Edited to Add - Love the ducks but especially love the Christmas Angels :D But then I LOVE all things Christmas LOL
