Wow Guys!!!
Even on a rainy Sunday you are still at it.:p
Been a busy bunny preparing for the week ahead - to clear time to really work as my Mum has agreed to take DS2 as much as possible this week to allow me to crack on.
So meal plans including packed lunch selections are all done. Chick peas have been cooked, for curry, for hummus and for spicy chickpea and potato rissoles.
A bargain piece of reduced beef has been cut into three and frozen for pot roasting in the slow cooker for a lovely Sunday dinner treat at 3 future dates.
I have made up a batch of pitta breads and frozen them in their uncooked state. I will report back on how they behave baking from frozen.
Dozen apple and oat muffins made - and swiftly frozen, well apart from the two the buys scoffed at lunch. These are the current packed lunch favourite.
6 jelly moulds filled and setting in the fridge. DS's love a jelly at supper with a squirt of aerosol cream (shudders!!!). But as Mr T sells basics jelly at 6p its a budget friendly treat.
A carrier bag of windfalls has been peeled, cored and sliced before freezing. Enough to make 6 family puddings, DS1 loves apple pie closely followed by Eve's pudding. Easy enough to create when you have a stash of frozen fruit.
Mum brought me in 10 whoopsied limes yesterday - so they have been chopped up and salted ready to be turned into 2 jars of lime pickle, one for me and one for my mate from Brum. This is what he has requested for Christmas cos I make it with a proper Indian recipe and it is wicked hot - not the mellow supermarket variety.
She also brought me in a packet of sausage rolls??? Still the boys like them so they have been freezer stashed too.
Best of all she brought in some clothes she has found for the boys (DS1 having a growth spurt!). She was going to keep them for Christmas but felt they would be better off having them now and getting an extra 3 months wear out of them IYSWIM. So there are now 2 carrier bags of clothes to go off to the charity shop tomorrow to bless someone else.
Pot of yogurt on in the maker - and the ironing is all up to date. Bathroom deep cleaned and downstairs hoovered. All thats left to do is wash the kitchen floor - but I do that last thing at night so no-one slips up.
........................................ and apart from dinner tonight that's all thats getting done.
....................... so now, I'm going to have an hour with my pad and pens and come with a plan for the week ahead - cos this is "lift-off week" apparently:D At least so I was told at my coaching call this morning.
But first - "cuppa tea!!!!!":rotfl:

MG, it sound that you are doing really well and having great time at that - warms up my heart to hear this.
May I ask you a question about pitta bread? I have gone from wonderful puffed pittas to this flat things that are very tasty but don't separate. What am I doing wrong and could it be corrected?

I've had that a couple of times too - i find that its best if the baking tray is pre-heated and then you slap the pittas on the hot tray and slide it back inthe oven.
I also sprinkle the pittas with some water to make it steamy in the oven and that helps them billow up too.
Let me know.

Aha - will try this one. (No pun intended.) Have a good week next week - mine will be an absolute nightmare but hopefully successful. Just very busy at the moment.
Best to all

wow you have been busy mg
I've had quite a lazy day. Although i'm feeling much better after last nights sleep
Dt i'm still having fungoing to aim for putting 10 pieces of new on the website if I can today and if the lady who does my descriptions can do them
Also going to fix the jewellery I never got around to doing yesterday,
Decided too I need to do as much as i can during the day whilst ds's are in school and dh at work. So that I can get the table cleared away ready for tea. If i can do 3 hour a day monday to fri, I'm not pushing myself too far, and the hours worked i'm allowed to do 15 hours in a week on the incapacity benefit, although on sat i have the farmers market so can't do 3 hours a day this week, need to keep hours for the farmers marketBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
I know its pretty sad but ......................
.................. I just managed to install SKYPE on the new to me computer:j:j
And have found a headset and talked to my Mum - OK she's only a few miles away but I did it all on my own.
Now to get my email sorted ( may have to resort to the lovely Mr Firewalker for that one though cos its not going so good:o)

Hi Claire,
working three hours a day, if it is to suit your health, is reasonable. But I hope I am not wrong thinking that if you have your own business it does not matter about the benefits - what will matter how much profit you make.
Needs double checking probably but it does sound wrong - it would apply if in employment.
