About this schools business....
A few years back I was self employed as a Victorian (!). Just for a few months. Rather unsuccessfully as it turned out, my heart just wasn't in it and I was doing it to please my ex boyfriend (some folk are strange like that) I made absolutely no money at all.
However, what I did learn was that in the area I lived in, the local authority produced packs to send out to schools/teachers, which basically consisted of adverts that the schools might want to use for activities, environmental centres, people who brought bugs into school, historical re-enactment and the like. I had my flyers printed, and paid (a very small amount, from memory it was less than £10) to have them put in these packs.
I'm not sure whether that will help you right now - from what I remember they only did it once a year to coincide with the beginning of the school year - but maybe next year?? And I only found out about it because I knew someone who advertised their own services in these packs.
Anyway, don't know whether that's any use, but just remembered it then and it might be a way to get out to all of the schools in an area at once...
(sorry if you already know about this, I remember being really surprised!)0 -

MG - your school may be able to help with the student training part, kind of back doorish? At DD's school, there are lots of fab parents who run their own businesses, lots of arts, crafts, drama etc. Certain parents have met with the Head and have dispensation to circulate flyers for their courses (held off school premises), and the Head always writes a newsletter to all parents a week or so before the course flyer goes out, so that when you get it, you know it's kosher. Might be worth a try?
To get in touch with my forgotten/submerged side this weekend, I looked at clouds (I used to spend ages doing that, making up stories), played with balloons at a party DD was atand we're just back from the swimming pool where I was being taught how to be a monkey by a bossy DD
I've not yet written down my words/map for the last challenge, but by just letting go, I've had fun and opened up some doors in my head. Great fun
Universe request - on my diary too - but I want to get a last-minute place on a science GCSE tomorrow, that will be perfect regards cost/timing/ease of getting a babysitter/ease of course (I hope, it's coursework/practicals and only one exam). Will be calling up tomorrow morning, whilst wearing my new lucky stripey socks and with my heart in my mouth!!0 -

todays challenge is up and ready to roll - although the good news is thats its a very short and simple one - that knowing mr big will probably turn out to be anything but.
does anyone else ever read the challenges and think easy peasy - and then finds that the universe sends loads of reminder rocks bouncing towards you and suddenly you are dealing with some really deep and difficult stuff?
maybe that's his master plan - lol

~~~~~~~~vibes for you for tomorrow kittikins!
I love all the childlike cheery activities that have been going on here :T I've not *quite* gone back to my childhood this weekend, but I have gone for a couple of quite long ambles round the local countryside by myself, something that I love doing, used to do all the time, and haven't done for ages :T
Had a grand old time, done lots of thinking, blown away a few cobwebs, and discovered a few new places (and got some exercise!), so hooray all round! :T0 -
Hi everyone,
Just found this thread after reading about it on Hypno's diary. Have I come to this too late? Where should I start with the challenges?
Funnily enough I've been getting novels from the library and taking the time to read them, play rocks!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
