Well here I am....at the end at last! I have spent the week feeding my shirt at lunchtime eyes glued to screen and devoted most of my day yesterday to finish reading this thread.

I mind-mapped my debts last night (just a rough pen drawing) but I want to do it again..with colour to show priority. I liked the look of it and will do another today to plan the decluttering of the kitchen ~ drawer by drawer; cupboard by cupboard. I need to seriously tackle our home as I feel nothing has a place (I have a son who helps me with the housework but his idea of tidying up is to take everything and shove it in a cupboard or drawer...and I let him!)

I have always been a firm believer that everything happens for a reason even if that reason isn't obvious at the time and the courage, spirit and capability that you have shown throughout your trials Memorygirl has inspired so many already. Hopefully we will all now be motivated by your phenomenal success! (And have our cockles warmed by the arrival and successful capture of your Mr perfect-for-u ;))

I hope each one of us finds the spirit to kick our shoes off and paddle in the sea everyday.....even if its a metaphorical splash!

I am now away to think about my personal challanges and what I want to achieve both in the short term and further ahead.

    Good Luck!

I hope you don't mind. I have just posted this on my own diary, and would be really grateful for some positive thinking from everyone so that I can move into the house that will allow me to start my "new" life.....

.....So, I would like you all, please, to send me positive thoughts for selling this house and moving to somewhere which will enable me to lead a simpler life! It will be a big part of my "moving on" process, and is a step I am ready to take, and which I am looking forward to. The children are on board, fully, and very excited about the prospect as although it is a smaller house we are looking at, they will get much bigger bedrooms!

So, if the universe could please send me a lovely purchaser, within the next 30 days, I would be very grateful.

    Thanks xx

I am focusing on this as part of the challenges, so if anyone has any ideas that I should be incorporating, I would be grateful, although I do feel very positive about the whole thing.

    Hi Hyno,

The purchaser is out there and my supercharged vibes are with you......cherisong and MG provided me with great advice (quite a few posts back!) to the point I have even have a bottle of (half-price - MSE!) champagne sitting on top of my fridge ready for my new occupants:D

I think it's important that you know the lovely purchaser is about to make you the offer you need....the power to achieve this is inside of you, it's all about getting onto the same frequency as your desire...the law of attraction kicks in when you act as if you are receiving it now.

So, be move ready - pack as much as you can into boxes (a la macgirl), get that mail re-direction organised, look into van-hire/removal firms costs, let your cleaner know she'll be relocating her services;), tell EVERYONE your intention. This is real and it's happening now.

I look forward to reading your new house posts!

Morning all, what lovely posts there are on here today.

Lucielle, what a shame that these challenges have stirred up some difficult memories for you. Sometimes people forget that not everybody's childhood was as idyllic as their own. Instead of thinking about your childhood, think about things that have made your heart soar at other times in your life, even if it was just a moment. The thing about happiness is that sometimes that "moment" is so fleeting that we miss it because we are bogged down with the serious stuff.

Well I've dusted myself and given myself a through talking to. Had to go into the town today. Only had 2 sproglets with me so splashed out on some picnic type things and took them to the beach. I was watching them, letting the waves chase them back up the beach thinking that looks fun. Then had a lightbulb moment, thought sod it and whipped my shoes and socks off and joined in screeching like a banshee when I got caught.

I am so pleased that you had a lovely day. And maybe this challenge was just a gentle reminder to us to slow down and not take life so seriously all of the time. It is lovely that your children will be able to say now , remember the day? But maybe we all need to make things like this the norm.

Thanks for all the encouragement! I have made a good start, getting as ready as I can for this. Much has been decluttered, taken to the tip, or just boxed up in order to a) move and b) make the house clearer for viewers. There is still some way to go, but I am concentrating on this as my 30 day challenge, and making good progress - I did the cupboard under the stairs last weekend for goodness sake lol!

As for research, well, I already have my mortgage promise in place for the new house, and have all my quotes for conveyancing, removals, etc so all I actually need to do now is to have Mr and Mrs Perfect Buyer pop by :D Which of course they will do shortly :D

Going back to the childhood challenge - I found myself yesterday looking at the clouds and working out what they looked like....animals, umbrellas, a man wearing a hat......:T

Nattypants, this is brilliant - I often review the day with gratefulness when I go to bed, but the something-happening-differently is inspiring, and I'll definitely add that to what I already do, thank you!

Claire, I'm so sorry to hear this. You sound like you're struggling anyway, truth be told, and this shock on top is awful. Take care of yourself, don't feel you have to rush to "keep up" with the challenges.

Hypno - I've responded to your positivity request on your own thread. Just adding another layer here xxx

Yep I am struggling a bit :) de cluttering this house is a mammoth job!! doesn't help that no-one seems to put anything away after them, so by the time i've got the house looking tidyish, i'm too sore to do anything else :(, but i'm getting on slowly :)

at the moment i'm concentrating on the pile of boxes that are piled in the corner of my dining room :)

My kitchen is now practically finished and looks like a completely different room. just a few tiles replacing now and tiles resprayed.

    I will get there.

    I often do that:D

Childhood memories - Definitely the Magic Faraway tree, Mallory towers, The famous five- which i loved revisiting when mine were growing up. The books are all here for any future generations too.

I used to love packing a few sandwiches and a flask and walking all over. I still do that now, and when i want a perfect escapist day- that is what i still do.

    Good times:D

    aww thankyou,

The dining room table need a bit of restoring done to it. there are white water marks all over it and deep scratches. hopefully it can be done.

the bay as you can see is quite damp so needs to be treated.

And the windows well .... they arn't dirty lol they need to be taken out, cleaned and re sealed, the stuff that looks like dirt is between the panes not on the inside or outside :(

Told you this house is going to be a mammoth job lol
