OK - looking at it I see what you mean - but it really makes total sense to me :D I like random - it makes people work to keep up with you

Sadly the wood flooring didn't materialise - I thought there were a couple of boxes but there were only 3 strips....

And as I've got the start of this cold that comes to nothing I'm having an afternoon of Will Smith saving the world in Independence Day, have taken that echinea stuff to ward off the cold, have had a vitamin C drink and am about to cuddle up with a hot water bottle....

That'll stop the cold in its tracks

  • I've had MGs book at least a week and have only flicked through it despite 'really' wanting to read it and I want to get on with some change and do the challenges on the blog which I 'have' read but not 'done'....what is wrong with me :(

I'm doing the challenges without any huge effort, I haven't written much but I can't help thinking about them after I've read them on the blog. I still haven't worked out the perfect week but there are loads of ideas for it floating around in my head:)

Morning all, what lovely posts there are on here today.

Lucielle, what a shame that these challenges have stirred up some difficult memories for you. Sometimes people forget that not everybody's childhood was as idyllic as their own. Instead of thinking about your childhood, think about things that have made your heart soar at other times in your life, even if it was just a moment. The thing about happiness is that sometimes that "moment" is so fleeting that we miss it because we are bogged down with the serious stuff.

Well I've dusted myself and given myself a through talking to. Had to go into the town today. Only had 2 sproglets with me so splashed out on some picnic type things and took them to the beach. I was watching them, letting the waves chase them back up the beach thinking that looks fun. Then had a lightbulb moment, thought sod it and whipped my shoes and socks off and joined in screeching like a banshee when I got caught.

KM - I think you may be a wee bit like me....I have bursts of enthusiasm about wanting an amazing, ordered, serene, grab-it-by-the-balls life...however sometimes (aka often) I let "stuff" supercede the super-me:o

I came across this, which may help....

To create your tomorrow, go over your day when you are in bed tonight just before you fall asleep, and feel gratitude for the good moments. If there was something you wanted to happen differently, replay it in your mind the way you wanted it to go. As you fall asleep, say, "I will sleep deeply and wake up full of energy. Tomorrow is going to be the most beautiful day of my life."

  • Hi MG,

I picked up my books from the post office today, thank you very very much. I hope you are still doing well with the book sales.

    Happy weekend everyone.

NP thank you for your support. I love the sound of replaying my day and will definately give it a go...especially the bit about waking up full of energy which is something that doesn't happen to me because I always wake up drained even after a good nights sleep

Lucielle this brought a tear to my eye...I am happy you did that for the child in you and also for your children as you just created a wonderful memory for them today as I bet they loved you joining in more than they were enjoying you watching while they did it.

    Take care x
  • Lucille, that's a beautiful story - hold onto the child in you, cos it's time to have fun!

MG, sorry not able to catch up on this thread, but looking forward to getting my book - pesky Royal Mail are taking their time.
