Good Morning
I went back to bedam feeling shattered still but much better.
Although while ds's were getting ready for school I cleaned the kitchen and living roomas they have been de cluttered it only took 20 mins
So today i'm going to make a start on clearing all the boxes in the corner of the dining room (will be a huge task because they are full of beads and other craft items, which will all need to be sorted into organiser boxes.)Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
Now, why did I buy the book? several reasons and in the following order (you asked for truth right?)
- You needed some help
- I love any kind of book
- I have always been interested in mind mapping and what better tutor than 5x world champion
- the way that you write your entries is so entertaining I figured that the book would be easy to digest
- You are good at marketing yourself without being in anybody's face. For that read you are so subtle you may not even realise that you are doing it. If that makes any sense.

And because while I find mindmapping quite helpful, the only book I've found for kids is the Tony Buzan book which is too basic. Pleased to say your's is much better.
I'm also really encouraged by the reply you gave to someone who said they weren't artistic that it's OK to use words and not pictures. I don't have an artistic bone in my body
I'm hesitating to do the challenges at the moment and I'm not sure why. I have got rid of a lot of the stress in my life by taking early retirement last year but I am drifting a bit. I think your description of leading a "small life" is very apt- that's what I'm doing and I am enjoying it and I think I needed it for a while but I hoped that I would be clearer by now about what I actually want to do with my leisure.
I went to the library to try and find the Secret since they didn't have it in Waterstones. They didn't have it there either but I picked up a book by Barbara Sher - "What Do I Do When I Want To Do Everything", in which she says that some people are Scanners who CAN'T settle to just one thing. That is so me! My family are always laughing at my 'enthusiasms' which never last long. There are times when I think I have at least 3 or 4 different personae - and they all need shopping for which is not very moneysaving!
I even tried mindmapping all my recurring interests to see if there was one overall theme which came out. Nothing jumped out at me. That's why I am finding Mr Big's challenges difficult - my idea of a perfect week would change depending on what is enthusing me at the timeIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Hi again!
I need to read back but have a splitting headache at the mo so need to get off the computer! ...but really interested in the book- can I ask what its about (gathered its about mindmapping) ..have heard others recommend the secret also , and eat pray love...all relevant I think to where I am in my life at the moment, complete change of direction possible...
also loving the news of violins being found and given...love the idea of pay it forward and am trying to live life in much more that way rather than "what can I accumulate"
anyway, better go for now, but will read back properly at some point!

For anybody who plans on buying the Secret consider the new Secret book "The Power" instead. I have both and I think the new "the power" one is much better than the original. There isn't any new information but the new book explains everything much better.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

If anyone is looking for books - to buy or even to sell, this is quite a good site. They might not have everything you want every time, but worth keeping an eye on as they are fairly cheap.
As I'm a lurker and am only just getting into posting I can't paste links but it is greenmetropolis . com0 -
For those looking for the Secret - there are several copies on the ReadIt SwapIt site - you just need to have a book to swap that the other person is interested in. Should only cost you postage for the book you are swapping.0
