    Evening, how is everybody.

Purse decluttered, but to be honest I have downsized my purse to a little coin type one for the very reasons that Mr Big started to mention (clutter) so tonight I emptied it and found, a button (fell off on Saturday wondered where it had gone), £10 :j:j, a debit card, keys x2, parking ticket which I should have claimed on expenses 2 weeks ago (thank Mr B) and a nectar card, which I forgot to use at the petrol station because it is usually in the car door :rotfl::rotfl:
So I decided to declutter my briefcase,:eek: now this isnt a weird item but something that I didnt even know was there because it was in a zipped pocket that I didn't realise I had. My briefcase was a christmas present from OH just before I started my new job and it was the last Christmas I had my Mum around. Tonight I found her Christmas Card - unopened with £20 and the most lovely message. This was so welcome because today I had been a bit fed up and I confess I went mad and bought 3x gardening books. In my defence it is part of my 30 days Must have challenge. So I have now decided that the books are a gift from my Mum who obviously meant for me to buy something nice with it. So a BIG thank you Mr B.

Now, why did I buy the book? several reasons and in the following order (you asked for truth right?)
    • You needed some help
    • I love any kind of book
    • I have always been interested in mind mapping and what better tutor than 5x world champion
    • the way that you write your entries is so entertaining I figured that the book would be easy to digest
    • You are good at marketing yourself without being in anybody's face. For that read you are so subtle you may not even realise that you are doing it. If that makes any sense.

There's massive competition in the market you've chosen...

You need to find a Unique Selling Point... (I sound like a teacher, sorry)

Is there anything which makes your product stand out over the others? You need to find it, and make it stand out.

I have no doubt that the quality is good.. is the price right, do you market it in the right places, is your range of products right...

You need to find the thing which makes people say "I want that!"

No doubt you will get suggestions on here :) x

not sure i have an answer to any of that ;)

i sell at the local farmers market every month, and have my regulars, I sell at the big cheese once a year and average sales of between £500 and £600 for the weekend, i don't drive so getting to venues is a problem. So i'm trying to sell on the internet, which i'm not doing too well at.

that would be fab hypno - you are a woman of many resources:D

It is, indeed, a 3/4 size - I have a full set of violins of my own and have measured the spare one against my own 3/4 size so know it is correct.

It is decent (not a modern chinese flat pack version) but will need re-stringing (there are spare strings in the case, so should be easy to do) and the bow needs tidying up where some of the hairs are loose, and of course has a proper case.

So, it is yours if you want it - will need to work out whether to use royal mail or DHL etc so might take a few days to get to you, but if you would like it, let me know.

If it then turns out it is not what you need, or is the wrong size, the only request is that you pass it on to someone else who needs it!

no rush, what did dd wear after? did the shirts fit dh and ds?

The shirts fitted my fellas perfectly. DS looked so grown up, handsome devil.

DD, hmmm what to say about DD. She was all set to wear the red dress, and looked stunning in it. Then I mentioned you wanted it back afterwards, and she was too worried about it getting ruinned to wear it, bless her. She ended up with a last minute little dress courtesy of some Mr T vouchers.

I promise I'll get your stuff back to you next week xxx

thank you so much hypno - you are absolute proof that the universe works in perfect ways , if only we would get out of the way.

i'm sure our teacher can sort out anything that needs doing - and believe me my ds1 is such a careful wee boy that it will be perfectly looked after. and of course i would be honoured to pass it on again in the future in your name.

Wow. Well, I'm introducing myself here on this thread - I've been offline for almost a month, I've just moved house, and when I came back *this* is what I heard about. And I've nicked most of the last two days from house-duty to read your thread from about page 60, MG .... and oh my word, what a ride it is ....... DT said I'd be doing my thing in no time, and this is exactly what I needed - a community of high achievers. Thank you, thank you!

So, I've been doing the exercises on the blog, I've found what my hourly rate should be - and its not scary actually, tho if it was at the peak of my earnings, it would be almost twice the current aim. Thats okay, I can live with that :)

I need to pm you now, with my details, so I can get your book. I can pay you via paypal, is that right? Let me know what your paypal addy is, and it can go off to you right away.

I'm *really* glad the recommendation isn't to read Tony Buzan by the way - I heard him speak at a conference once, and immediately vowed never to buy anything he'd written, so finding another way into mind mapping is excellent.

Its really good to meet you all.
