I have had a NSD. I have 62p in my purse to last until next Wednesday when I draw my £70. I have a visitor coming next Thursday (23rd) and we are taking her back on Monday, spending 4 days with Family before returning back with DD1 and her husband who are staying with us for 6 days. My menu plan is done but I am not sure how the money is going to pan out so I am starting to do my serious paying down in November.......
My CC is locked away and I am only going to draw cash for groceries, fruit, veg and the TV Choice @42p......I do have a store cupboard, need to make sure I have plenty of bread flour; I do have one extra bill to pay this month which is for 3 bags of coal, but that will come out of the fuel account, Our fuel tank is almost full. I transfer £50 a month into it to pay for oil, we have oil central heating which we are planning to use VERY sparingly this winter now we have the stove in the sitting room, we had hotties in the bed last night it was so cold. The rads will only be on in our bedroom, the kitchen and bathroom. I put the radiator in my sewing room on when I am sewing but then it goes off and the guest bedroom is not heated unless someone is staying in there. All rads are left on the frost stat so if the temperture falls below freezing the heat kicks in. The heat from the stove is pushed into the hall by the fan and the boot room is heated by the boiler which is in there.
I am seriously thinking about opening a new basic bank account, transferring all the payments in and DD'd to it and leaving one of our deposits to pay down the overdraft and shoving any extra money into that account to try and get rid of it a bit quicker. I am overpaying on the CC's so one will be gone by Chritmas the other will take a bit longer.
I really need some motivation, I am so tired just now and my fivro is playing up, I am dreading a bad winter...........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Csarina, are there many other oil users in your area?,if so, you can save loads by getting together to form a 'buying company'. Each month (or Quarter depending on usage), the 'company' pays for one tanker-full of fuel to be delivered to the companies customers.
As you are collectively purchasing a full tanker, it is cheaper for the delivery company to send it out.
