My DD1 was always prone to them so she was our 'alert'. Hope you get the nasty critters. Off to read your book in the bath.

  • That is the bit i am dreading about my DS1 starting nursery. I guess now would be the time to buy a nit comb.

I just popped in to say i sent you the money direct to your bank today. Thanks. I dare say i will be wanting to read straight away.

My DS1 is after me teaching him how to knit. I have been knitting blankets for various friends and relatives who are having babies, and he is fascinated. I might try him and see how he goes but he is only 3. I bet he is happy with just a little try.

DD is a nit magnet, and with mixed-race hair it's even less "fun"!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed we avoid the little blighters for a while this term......

    You have my every sympathy...

Glad mine are older now and the nits don't come t5o visit, my youngest ds had them continously for about a year. I'd clean him send him to school and he'd come home with them in the evening.

Well went to b&q was naughty and bought a new colour paint, cause looking at the tub, theres not enough there, but i used money that i had from selling stuff on ebay.

DH decided to tell me that by xmas he would like the house ship shape clutter free and redecorated lol, great minds think alike eh?

MG, the younger the better, would explain my love of knitting and cross stitching and generally what my ex's mum called "old lady stuff". I like to sit and cross stitch if I have time to waste a few hours (i.e. tomorrow morning waiting for a parcel)
I would clean my poor flat, but it gets good clean every week as it's just me....so much easier. claire, the blinds, can you taken them down at all and maybe use a paste or solution of bio washing powder with a small brush, like a toothbrush or nail brush?

The blinds will come down yes,

Will take a picture of them tomorrow for you to see now the both window sills are clean lol

DD got nits for the first time aged 15, following a D of E trip thing.

A nitty gritty comb and some cheapo conditioner mixed with a few drops of tea tree oil soon got rid of them.

I seem to recall a thread on the families board and tea tree oil seems to help.

    *i'm now itching*

In positive news, it's our wedding anniversary today. In true MSE style, we didn't bother with cards or presents and I'm sure we'll find a cheap way to celebrate.
