MG, the younger the better, would explain my love of knitting and cross stitching and generally what my ex's mum called "old lady stuff".
Sorry - just had to delurk because one of my bandwagons has started on a roll!!
Isn't is a shame when activities are labeled as 'old peoples' activities. People then avoid them, or do them in secret (no, don't dwell on that one!!). We should applaud peoples achievements without being so judgemental. :T:T:T How much potential is lost because of these prejudices? And, of course there are other prejudices as well, but let's just think about this one for now!!
Right - off to relurk and off to France for a month - a lot of catching up to do on our return!!
Good luck everyone. I shall be decluttering and cleaning like mad while we're away.0 -
Morning MG..... How exciting!!! AAAAAAgh... can't stand the suspense!
Mr Big ..... we are waiting patiently:hello:
Different time zone , .... I'll pop back later.

have you noticed that the time on the comments on the blog seem to be US time? We must look superkeen to be doing all our decluttering in the middle of the night!! Or were you really posting at 03.50 on 7 September? It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Hi midnight - if you click on my name beside any posting then scroll down to the homepage label - you will get redirected to the memorygirlandfriends blog titled "The transatlantic challenge"
Well my update is -still no letter from the ctx peeps - but i have got an appointment with the advisor at the job centre at 11.20 (they have got a super secret number and can get through much faster than we poor mortals can) - so keep you fingers crossed for me.
12 chairs and 6 desks have been moved out of my hallway and the floor has been hoovered and mopped (one of my 100 day goals was to get some lino sorted for here).
I have found the paint to touch up the walls - and the floating shelves and peg rail that i shabbied. the electric screwdriver is on charge and plasterboard fixings are here wainting to go. if i even feel very brave i might eggshell the inside of the front door - just so it looks super smart to show you a photo.
the air is just pregnant with possibilities - only about 7 - 8 hours left to clear the decks before we get our next instructions.
i can't wait for my new life - and knowing you are all there alongside me is givig me goosebumps.

i have just done my bathroom in 15 mins. so i am now having a cup of tea. it makes the cleaning so easy.the other day i made a game of it with my DG's( my DB rairly leaves his room) and we had the kitchen clean in less than 15min's and they were eager to get onto the next. think theis has been one of the best ideas to get them going. (just a shame it will take longer for their bed room) also i can smell te bananna bread in the oven, thanks MGDee:rotfl:0

With my working week over, today is 'tackle the overflowing study' with the aim to be done by 4.00pm... it has been one of the best things that I am at the right stage in recovery to join in MG's challenge... will be so good to join in and get rid of those last vestiges of having been a spectator of other people's lives for the past three or four years.
Budget will be updated too - have it on a spreadsheet so just need to make sure all figures are up to date.
Will be intrigued to see what the next step(s) is/are!If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
