  • Thank you MG for my book too - arrived this morning. I'm going to settle down after dinner to have a read...if I can keep my eyes open! Just worked 2 days (back at school) after being off sick since my op in May - so I'm shattered, what a shock to the system!

    Thank you again.....:A:A:A
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • Courgette,

I hope you don't me chipping in to offer you some positive birthing vibes. Remind yourself that your body is perfectly designed and knows exactly what to do. Trust that your baby will come when he/she is ready. As one wise midwife once said to me 'it would be a strange world if all the apples fell off the tree on the same day'. Remind yourself that your baby needs to lay down glycogen stores for 24 hours before the birth so that he has the energy stores he needs for the hard work of labour. Lots of positive affirmations for you young lady!

Rest well, eat well and try a glass of wine and a shag. It will do you the world of good and maybe even get things moving along.

Wishing you a calm and peaceful birth (and I have every faith in the power of women and the magic of birth!) x

Courgette, I just can't believe it! I had little earthlet 4 weeks ago today, it has flown, and I thought you were just after me! Good luck sweetie, you are an expert :) you'll be fine! (Order a quick and painless birth now though.)

Just wanted to say that the positive attitudes that I have been reading on this thread both before and after the arrival has really got me through the last few weeks of 'adjustment'! Thanks MG and others!

wouldn't that be funny though - they do say that everyone you need to create your dream life is already known to you ........ makes you ponder????

Where is that high powered publisher, that looks like gabriel byrne, dances like fred astaire, sings like robbie and cooks like gordon ramsay - oh and in his spare time designs killer websites and is just itching to be the agent of the most successfull speaker in my universe??????????????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

................. and do you think he is likely to shop in LIDL's??????

Still i no longer feel like going postal at the ctx peeps - so thanks guys

If i did - i would be elbowing you out of the way:D:rotfl: But i would be stopping at the looking like Gabriel Byrne bit- i wouldn't notice anything else:drool::drool:

    Hi Memlorygirl, hi all,

today I tried the pitta bread recipe - wonderful and quick. MG, all my men (all three of them at the moment) are considering a conversion to memorygirlism. This is something given that I have two atheists and one agnostic.

Hope all else is well and I have to get back to my night job - don't get excited it is more of what I do during the day.

  • Finally finished catching up  - can I just say what a fantastic, positive, motivational thread! I've been driving my husband mad with quoting from it.... although he's also getting caught up with it too! I even tried our library for the secret, but not there :( and not on their lists .... may have to buy it now!

As a mother to dd who is about to start a levels and studying with the ou myself, I will pm you shortly re the book ...

Thank you so much for the inspiration!
