now i know its not clootiesmum or any of my other real life pals - cos they are all mums and it would likely to be a bottle of milk and a dozen eggs:D:D
so the question is???????????????
do you think gabriel byrne has finally tracked down my address??:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

How wonderful! I also have a confession to make - I have absolutely no idea who you and Bob are talking about - so Googled him. And I know him (not in the six degrees or Biblical sense:rotfl:) but completely not my cup of tea. It seems that when it comes to men, although hubby is a bit older than me, in my dreams I am a real cougar.
BTW, have you checked this site out? The Real Cougar Woman - apparently the sites owner is doing really well.

I am sorry MG, my dear, I do have a "day job", though it is particularly dull at the moment. Being a Marketing guru is definitely a "sideline"
Which reminds me... got to get on with it, rather than sitting here enjoying the thread!!

So I made the mistake of turning the sander off at the wall to explain that we have an hour left of the day - and need to get going because (he) is going out tonight. Instead he hits me.
So of course I am gob-smacked. To do something like that - and in front of 3 witnesses??????? So of course I left and don't intend to go in tomorrow (which I kind of feel bad about because I made a committment to get the school sorted)
As far as I am concerened I am out. The headteacher has a husband that thinks its OK to hit women - she's got a much bigger problem than the fact that there is no way her school will be ready for a weekend move.
My problem is, this is her husband - and she will side with him. Do I go to the police and get them to have a word? - but if they charge him (very likely because there are witnesess) does that then mean his CRB check will show it and he won't be able to work with the kids in the school - which means the Headteacher may just up sticks and move somewhere else???? Leaving us really up the creek without a paddle.
Thing is I believe you teach others how to treat you - and there is no way on this planet I am working with him again. I didn't take that from my dad, my partners and am surely not taking it from some random guy. As far as I'm concerned violence is the deal-breaker.
Sorry for the rant ................ just needed to offload a little.
I have been reading and been inspired. But I had to comment on this. I would still report him sorry. But chuffing heck, hitting a woman !!!!!!? In front of people? Like no flipping way is that ok. You know it is the right thing to do, what if he does that to his wife, and she is too afraid to go to the police? You might be doing her a massive favour....
On a more twisted level, maybe he sees you as so much 'one of the blokes' that for a split second he forgot you were female.

MG - My book just arrived - really looking forward to getting stuck in. How lovely to hear about your suprise present - hope you enjoyed it

The universe works in mysterious ways - I picked up a little mantra from an earlier post on this thread - " I am a magnet for Goodwill and Prosperity". It worked :j:j:j Had been blackberry picking for jam. Friend just phoned - her friend has just dropped by and left me bag of cooking apples for jam and she doesn't even know me - my friend just happened to mention about me and jam making. How lovely is that.:j:j:j
Courgette - hugs and good vibes coming your way for you and gherkin. Hope you have a safe delivery sooooon !When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on

Even I think 7.30 is rather too early to badger ex into coming round to fix the drip so that leaves the wiring. I am being careful Polesalot, I keep going to look at it and then going off to read the DIY manual and then going back for a second look and of course the power gets turned off completely befor I touch anything up there. The problem is that some of the wiring in the house is very old and the whole caboodle could do with rewiring but of course I don't have the money so I am left with the option of either leaving it or replacing obviously dangerous bits as I come across them.
Whilst this will do for you, I think when you come to resell it will have to be redone anyway. I think there was a new law about electrics only being done by certified electricians?
might be worth checking out

Part oif the efficiency drive in services, I suppose. Ther Post Office is a clear case where efficiency kills effectiveness.

Mmm, blackberry picking, I think I'm going to head out in a minute to get me some little berries of goodness. I've just stewed up a bag of apples I was given yesterday, think I might make a crumble for dinner tonight - Then save the rest of the blackberries for vodka

Lucky you on the surprise vino MG, maybe you have a secret admirer..........coo!!
I think I said thank you yesterday but can't remember, oops - but my books arrived yesterday, it was a bumper day for me; your two lovely books, and some other Amazon orders - I'm starting with the student one first as I need a gentle introduction to the drawing element which is alien to me as I'm very wordy rather than visual
Hope you've nearly cleared your loft now! 0 -
