De-lurking to say thank you for the book - postie brought it this morning, and I sat and read it cover to cover as soon as it arrived! Looks fabulous, I just need to practice now, but I can absolutely see how it will really help.

    Thank you!

    Hi Memory Girl,

I have been following/stalking (gonna call it stollowing!) your Diary for months (not good at posting comments I am afraid... just love reading them). So I have finally come out of the wood work to say I am totally inspired! From capsule wardrobes to assembling shelves at school after you found the new school!, from your book to the hilarious scenario (I know it wasnt funny but just picturing it was IYSWIM) of you using the phone at the dss and parking your little lads there equipped for a long stint!.. From your home made pittas, stovies, your 15 minute spurts of housework, your experience with HTH (what a moron), your date with a footballer, 71p and 3 nappies, make do and mend, garden vegetables... leaf tree mortgage, recipes, and most of all the sunny disposition and positive attitude you have towards new ventures and as a mummy. Your style of writing makes me want to keep reading and reading. I am gonna start living in your world where every cloud has a silver lining.
I belly laff endlessly at the humour that is threaded thru this diary by every contributer..... Just wanted to share that with you all.
    Love and laffter

i'm back from my travels - you lot are so impatient - honestly!!!!

cashsaver - thank you so much for posting such a lovely comment - it reduced me to blubbering heap, which is a little strange for ds2 cos he still thinks you only cry if you are hurt. bless him he offered to kiss what was hurting better.

VOTES FOR USING THIS AS THE BACK PAGE OF THE BOOK PLEASE???:j:j:j

i know i'm being flippant - but let me tell you what happened through the night (keep it clean ladies - you know who you are:rotfl::rotfl:)

I had a PM from the states from a VERY, VERY, VERY famous personal development speaker. it turns out he had been pointed in this direction by a friendly lurker, who knows someone, who knows someone - who knows his PA - who emails him a link to this thread - as he is "on the road"

Well when he gets to the link - your quote is the link he popped into - which gets him curious, and he spends about 4 hours reading through from the very beginning.

my heart is pounding at this point - cos this is a guy who commands hundreds of thousands of dollars a day - and has written books that most of you will probably have on your bookcases (I know, i know but he asked me not to reveal who he is until later)

long and short is that he wants to play:j. he wants to be the one challenging me on to bigger and better things - and his condition - well this is the most brilliant part!!!!!!!

he is going to throw out a challenge - and we can all play along - collectively helping everyone get to where they want to be. "71p and three nappies" is not the book he says - its the beginning of a book where the real story is us all working collectively (although we don't persoally know each other) to achieve magical stuff.

i am to be the "trailblazer" - how american lol - charting a path that we can all zip along together. GULP!!! I wonder excatly what i've let myself into

oh boy - i do hope you all want to play along.

so he has asked some fairly blunt questions on the IM today- and given me some pretty blunt answers too

HIM how much are you selling your books for?
    ME £10
HIM too low - you are the world champion and you are worth a premium
ME - erm OK!!!! (still more than a little starstruck here btw)

HIM - so how many books you sold this week? you gotta know your numbers - if you've sold more than 30 you got a business.
    ME - erm 68!!!
HIM - good then you got a business - now we gotta make a great business
    ME - erm OK!!!!! (i know i know:eek:)

HIM - so have you thought of taking the product online - online is the way to go - we get you great speaking gigs, you sell books, you sell online product, you sell virtual courses, you sell personal time online - at a premium!!!
ME - erm OK!!!! (shoot me:cool:) just about finished turning the book into a weekly training programme for kids.

HIM - great, how much you gonna charge
ME - don't know, haven't done the research - maybe about £52 for the years course
HIM - you know what I'm gonna say
ME - yeak, too cheap - need to sell at a premium
HIM - here endeth the lesson. i'll be back soon with your first challenge.

    OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me i've not been too embarrasing during the earlier stages of this thread - was i a real BMW??? (!!!!!ing moaning whiner????)

so excited i cannot sit still - off to hang out some more washing and then eat although my stomach is turning cartwheels.

i will be back to fill you in on the other cool stuff thats been happening too - that was just the most recent

MG that is fantastic. So looking forward to hearing the rest. I recently followed Mike's Dolls House thread - that was equally inspiring when it turned good for him, what an amazing place MSE is :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
