Hi MG and everyone else
I had to stop lurking again to share my experience today. You have all really got me into thinking about the universe providing if you think positively etc.
I only had £4 to last me a week but I wasn't worried about it and continued to think that the universe will provide for me. This evening, my OH treated me to a Chinese. The Chip & Pin system was down in the takeaway so he sent me next door with his card to get cash out. I drew £20 out and before it dispensed the money I noticed that there was already £10 sitting there.
I believed that the universe would provide and I now have £14 to last me the week :T. I have been truely converted now.

God bless rural(ish) police officers - a bit common sense always helps.
Hopefully he'll mention this to HT, but please note my previous post & don't meet them - unless it's in a public place that you've accidentally left the details of on this thread so we can all be sitting at surrounding tables growling quietly
Take care

That's exactly what OH told me to do. If I find another £1 in time then I know that the universe is telling me to do the lottery tomorrow night.

Ditto. I think you have done the right thing, and you know too because unlike HTH you have had time to think things through, then act wisely, not rashly.

Thanks MG for letting us know.
I knew that you would do the right thing. This must be the best course of action. Sympathy for him is good, especially as it is not to the detriment of the school. This episode may have been what this man needed to happen to deal with the issues he has. This was why I said that I believed you were the one that was there at that moment. I would also have gone to the police and then taken their advice. Thank goodness you have a local officer with some common sense and decency to look at the bigger picture rather than targets. I follow the Dalai Llama on facebook. This is his thought for the day today
Dalai Lama
It is self-evident that a generous heart and wholesome actions lead to greater peace and that their negative counterparts bring undesirable consequences. Happiness arises from virtuous causes. If we truly desire to be happy, there is no other way to proceed but by way of virtue: it is the method by which happiness is achieved. And, we might add, that the basis of virtue, its ground, is ethical discipline.

Glad you made a decision MG- I am sure it will have a positive resolution
Love the saying- btwBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
I probably missing something here but I'm assuming that HT wasn't there when this happened and therefore is ignorant of what went on. No one is going to go home and casually announce over dinner that they punched one of the schools volunteers and then continue on as normal. The fact that HT hasn't be in contact already suggests she may be oblivious. It doesn't seem fair to expect her to resolve this without knowing for certain that shes aware in the first instance.
Apologies if I've misunderstood something along the way. It seems odd to me that she hasn't been in touch already.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

I'm sorry moo2moo - maybe i did miss something out in all my rambling.
the HT had her 3 children away with her this last few days visiting their old home on one of the islands - as I am the practical one (packing boxes, creating packing lists, ordering paint and equipment, oraganising schedules and projects, the driver) it was the ideal time for her to spend a few days away with her kids before setting up the school for the new year.
She and her kids got off a bus at 8pm last night - so i really wouldn't expect to hear from her until today (Saturday) - and no i don't suppose he will mention it at all, because that would be consistent to an abusers pattern (to deny it ever happened, to lay the blame on someone else, to get angry again to deflect the blame - but hopefully to move on to acceptance that he has a serious problem and that it would need to be dealt with)
I am toying with the idea of approaching a third party to contact her today to arrange a meeting (obv not with him there and with support on my side) to gently let her know what happened on thursday.
.............. and the quotation has made me even more determined that what i need to do is be in a posistion to help the school -but if that is about getting this mn professional help instead of painting, cleaning.moving, driving vans and setting up materials then that is also ok.
