how much is this tat going to cost?
If I gave my view on the type of person who has an iphone, you get the general impression of anyone who has an iplate.
how long does the battery last on these things.[/QUOTE
Anyone is entitled share their to their opinion on a public forum, but I don't get the point of yours. It has no content of any use at all. Why do you care about the battery life if you have no intention of owning one?
Feel free not to get one- anyone told you they're not compulsory yet?!0 -
I quite like the idea of it for reading books and comics and browsing the web, but i don't like all the drm it comes with and how apple has ultimate control over apps and music. I do understand why people are buying it though. I don't have a problem if you like it get it. I'll be waiting for one of the linux tablets that will be cheaper and with allow me to do much more.0

When I was in the states a couple of weeks ago a guy I was with on the trip wandered into an Apple store and bought one over the counter no problems. I guess its all down to what demand there has been locally. I bet it wont be long before they start selling them in those best buy vending machines in the airports.0 -

The supply of iPads has been very scarce of late.0 -

Sorry, I was trying to write that quick and didnt realise i had said that. I was aware of that but they used to have DRM and if it was up to apple I'm sure they still would. And i still can't do what i want with my music, when i transfer music onto my ipod and my hard drive stops working, i should be able to transfer my songs onto my new hard drive without having to search for 3rd party software. Anyway i don't want to influence anyones decisions but I wont be buying another ipod or related product. If I had the money to burn I would maybe buy a mac.0 -

Apple are largely responsible for the lack of DRM on music:

Influencing decisions is what places like this are about- a good thing when the opinions are informed ones -specially for ignoramus's like me who has no clue what DRM is! (Googled, but STILL didn't get it! To do with copyright yeh? )0 -
They may not have DRM on music now but unless things have changed recently they still have DRM on other content.
Google are rumoured to be producing a competitor as well.

If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
