Raspberry gin is yummy ....
In a bottle put 150g raspberries and 150g gran sugar, top up to 750ml with gin!
shake regularly for a month or so, leave somewhere, drink 3 ish months later0 -
Last year I used plums, stones removed, packed into a bottle or jar, some sugar and topped with vodka. Leave for 12 weeks (just right for Christmas) and decant liquid to another bottle. The plums I used for boozy (very) trifle, with ice cream or just on their own. I also tried raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and a mix of lemon and tangerine all done to the same method. Going to try pineapple this year and mint. I should think any spirit would work the same. Very yummy!:beer:Birthdays are good for you.... the more you have - the longer you live. :j0

Hi
Its my father-in-law's birthday in March and I would love to make blackberry vodka or cranberry vodka, has anyone got receipes?
ThanksNo Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
i dont know if this would be suitable but my friend makes a fab jellybaby vodka!! i am pretty sure she heats the jelly babies up for a bit in a pan an then when they are a bit syrupy and cooled down puts them into the vodka (thinks she only uses certain ones else it turns a weird colour, eg. not black ones) and then you have to leave it for a while to infuse! she even prints a label. if you're interested i can find out exactly how she makes it!0

Juliav - I have made sloe vodka (like sloe gin but done with vodka), but it takes many months to infuse the berries first and then to mature, so that would not be suitable if you need it next month.
madge7 - the jelly baby one sounds great! Do you know the quantity of jelly babies to vodka your friend uses or could you find out? Would be much appreciated.

My mate ran out of lemons once, so we invented this.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
