Results in for my local councillor it was very close 1824 lib dem 1812 conservative with 77.6% turnout - I bet there was a recount there!

I've done a bit more paperwork, still hoping to squeeze a bit more cash out of the travel insurance company for our ski holiday medicall bills as we are still quite a lot out of pocket due to exchange rates etc.

    Right to the WM

the tablets will make you feel spacey for a while, well they did me anyway, but they soon sort themselves out

I was told to take mine at night though~ weird

i did change it to morning though, cos I knew i would forget to take them at night:rotfl:
I think it depends what tablets you've been put on. I've had just about every variety of anti-d known to man over the course of the last 38 years. Currently I have to take 1 in the morning and 1 at night.:o

Got my free pot of strawberry body butter. Also decluttered £19.75 on new socks for Mr LW, and he treated himself to some PlayStation2 games, as they had them 4 for £10 in Game.

He's just done his WiiFit+ stuff, and is hungry, so I've said he can make cheese on toast for me while he's doing his own.;):rotfl:

Everyone feed and kids now watching a movie so i'm off to see if i can get anymore done of the list.:D

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Driving lesson decluttered. How on earth - and when - did I change from being a super cool biker happy to go at FAR beyond the speed limit to an incompetent, uncoordinated imbecile who gets her legs all tangled up in the car when joining traffic? Ah, yes [remembers when] that'll be when the tosspot who pulled out in front of me 15 years ago broke my neck for me.

At least I get congratulated for spotting bikers, kids, animals and big trucks, I suppose. Instructor told me that, if anything, I spot stuff and react to it too early (that'll be the 100 yard stare, I guess), but that I'm good at making sure white van men don't bully me. Meh, what good is assertiveness when I can't do the fundamentals yet?

Got back to find DD had not blown the place up by being alone for 20 minutes after school finished.

Did kitchen (other than mopping floor)
    DW
    WM
    TD

    Sweep & vacuum hall
    Vacuum bathroom
    Vacuum bedroom entrance
    Vacuum living room rug

Asked DD to see if her Dad would do me a favour. She insisted I was asking too much of him.

Asked KH if he can have DD next Friday/Saturday and one just after half term on top of his usual weekends, so I can attend Saturday lectures. He said YES! :D (so yah boo sucks to DD)

And he has fitted his summer holiday in to suit me as well!

[wonders what happened, and whether I will end up regretting this later]

Which reminds me - I am thinking of enrolling on a week long Klezmer course at the SOAS in London during that second week off. Has anyone here ever done this? It look like fun and although I last brandished a trumpet in anger many many years ago, there is no reason why I can't pick up a drum or sing.

Oh well, best get on with booking my ticket for tomorrow's tutorial. Brighton this time.

Evening campers - it's wine/beer o'clock here so you can have any combination you wish!
Valli - glad the pick up went well

Done !!!! all since I got in, but DH had already brought the washing in off the line. Going to have an easy tea, a£das extra special pizza and garlic bread when I can be bothered to turn the oven on! Is everyone else as confused as me about the hung parliament malarkey?

Kazx et al (useless at remembering names -so sorry) - you can pm if you prefer, but how do you cope when he is away? DH is fab, but he was in the army and sees it differently as I think he keeps his feelings hidden as he suffered badly from the 1st Gulf War and knows what Danny is likely (and probably already has) to do and see. Don't worry if you can't my lovelies x

Was it tooch (?) who asked if he knew I was passing on your love and safe vibes from here? He thinks (well all 3 do really) that I lost the plot ages ago, so if I said "Toots, Pigpen, soappie, skintscotslass, kazwookie etc send you their best wishes, it would be confirmed that I have really lost it in his eyes!!!! Oh and carol, whilst I remember (hopefully got it right!), a candle for him is a lovely idea, thank you xx

Right just found out 2 friends are coming for dinner tomorrow! Eeek, mega tidy then in order, along with hairdressers and food shopping and also cooking. Wish me luck! Wouldn't mind but Dh is at work tomorrow until mid afternoon, so can't help

This is what I picked up but WAY cheaper than this price and mine is boxed. I phoned the seller. 'Hello it's Valli I'm ringing about the crested tit.'

(Wonders whether to keep box or e bay it)

I have 4 now - and have been 'collecting' for over 16 years *rolleyes*

am trying to drum up the energy to hit the room not yet done (I have cleaned all but the dining room - guess where all the gibble got put *rolleyes*)

I have also sent my proof of NCB off (having had a reminder - since I have not even READ the letters I got from the car insurance hardly surprising I never sent that off). I spent half an hour ransacking the house for the paperwork though as I hadn't filed it where I should have. It was, of course, in the dining room where everything else is.

  • Evening all

well another wasted day here.... I had done nothing but since 7pm I have spent 2 x 10 minutes in the tip that is comically called the kitchen. I have:
wiped up 1 load of washing up
    Done another load
Put lots of bits away where they belong.

Why is out house such a mess when there is only me and DD (17) here.... and the cat!

    Me
Right off again for another 10 mins - will stick with the kitchen and try to clear the work tops then may be (lol) I will be able to sweep and wash the floor tomorrow as DD is at work in Lincoln.
