Friday - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms:D:D:D:D

Will get bedroom done if Rhys wakes up if not then tomorrow. Kitchen isn't too bad but i want to bake a cake tomorrow for Rhys's B'day. We didn't get a chance to on thursday.

Dusty oh no not a leak, it's one of the hardest things to find, i think. We ended up putting all new pipes in the bathroom this week because we couldn't find where our leak was coming from.

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

  • Happy Birthday Triker - hope you had a good one!!

I managed to clear the draining board and did another load of washing up including a baking sheet and the roasting tin that I cooked the chicken in a few days ago..... yuk....

I put more things away and did a cursery wipe over of the work tops - really need to clear and clean them properly - will add to the list for tomorrow.

also emptied the veggie waste pot into the composting bin - its raining now - I wanted to do some in the garden tomorrow!!

Fed the cat again... greedy guts she is....

Thats it now as I need to sit down and have some more pain killers.

Not much flying done this afternoon :o DD1 threw a MEGA tantrum and by the end of it I was totally worn out and was quite pleased that I managed to get through the rest of the day without shouting (well, without shouting THAT much :D).

Love the chat on here BTW - not much chance for chat on comps boards - we get told off for 'bumping':o:rotfl:

    Hi all
Hope everyone is OK? I've only skimmed the thread, but wanted to say 'happy birthday' to Triker, and to send hugs for macpep. I wanted to send hugs to anyone else who needs one, too.

I've had an up and down kind of week - mum finally had her surgery yesterday, due to be discharged from hospital tomorrow. It's just a case of wait and see now - they took some lymph nodes to check that the cancer hasn't spread.

Consequently, the lists haven't really been done in any structured way this week...but I've had a go. If it's not there, I've done it (oh, and I haven't done any of the extras at all...):

Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
Dust/polish grubby glass and mirrors and pictures.
    Level Two
    Level Three
HHC in the hallway.. sort those coats and shoes and mess!! Clear out handbags and schoolbags!

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
    Level One
    Declutter and mop/vacuum floor
    Level Two
Give one small appliance a good clean!
    Level Three
Clean through the cupboard full of food.. what needs using soon?
    clean oven and hob!

Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    Check smoke alarms are working
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
    Air the duvet
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort through a cupboard and find 10 things to get rid of!
Freshen up any curtains or bedding that needs doing!

Thursday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
Clear floors of guff and stuff
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks
    Level Two
Clear any clutter from desk This is ongoing. I'm getting there!
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    Level Three
Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
sweep and mop and deslop the floors in these rooms.

Friday - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
    Level Two
    Vacuum the floor
    Wash the curtains!
    Level Three
    Clean 2 windows
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season!

Phew! I've done more than I thought...I've also made a good start on the baby clothes in the loft and have one crate ready for the next Nearly New Sale. There's still loads more to do...and I've got to temporarily relocate the contents of the airing cupboard as we're finally getting our new boiler next week :j.

I watched some of the election coverage last night, went to bed at midnight...DS woke me up at 1am, so I put the radio on for a bit. Woke up this morning to find the constituency had turned blue overnight. Our Lib Dem MP is no more....he lost by 170 votes.

    Have a good evening,
    Take care

  • Good evening. I would really like to say thank you for helping me sort my house. I haven't managed all 3 levels yet but it's definitely looking better. My neighbour called round earlier to ask me to feed her cat this weekend and I invited her in for coffee for the first time in ages and I didn't need to apologise for the state of the house. :o

    Triker Happy birthday.

macpep Glad you could tell the doctor everything, hope the tablets work quickly.

Not got much done today but stripped the beds and remade them and had a hoover round. Shopping came as well. First time using ocado, was very impressed with them.

    Evening all

    Happy birthday, Triker!

I lost the plot sometime around Tuesday - no flying done, and not much else, either. I seem to have spent each evening asleep. :( DS1 had a nice birthday on Wednesday and I'm sooo glad it's the weekend now. We got the car back yesterday (decluttered £400 ), after it's been out of action since last Friday evening. I spent a bit of time in the back yard/garden earlier, making space for DS2's playhouse parts which are due to arrive tomorrow. Going to be a busy two days and flying will have to fit around everything else for a change. Out in the morning as I need to pay for the playhouse/get shopping and stuff for the garden. Waiting for the playhouse after lunch and DS2 is going to a party at 3.30. Also need to fit in a trip to costco on Sunday. I'm trying to spend as little as possible and use up stuff in fridge/freezer/cupboards, so I'll have to watch myself when I'm out.
List for the rest of today:
    DW/WM x1
    bath, wine and book
    update list
declutter something from sky+ if I don't fall asleep first
Will see you all in the morning. x
