Gran I just refer to you all as the 'ladies from my online forum'. Then we don't sound batty;)

I have just spent the last 1.5 hours (my 'me' time each week whilst boys are at Boys Brigade ) extolling the virtues/friendliness/usefulness/eccentricity/helpfulness/supportiveness of [STRIKE]this Flylady thread [/STRIKE] the wonderful people on this thread to a friend/acquaintance, because she casually mentioned getting motivated to tidy & clean (her house is spotless generally anyway) :D

(I also decluttered some feelings that have been worrying me lately :(...not sure why....she's not exactly a close friend - our boys are mates...not sure that was the best idea I've ever had....probably won't see her again now...:() I think I may need to talk to someone....
I'm not so tired & not so desperate..... mainly thanks to MSE :D so just call me Notso.....
Yes, I'm juggling and I might drop some.... but at least I'm trying ;)

Kazx et al (useless at remembering names -so sorry) - you can pm if you prefer, but how do you cope when he is away? DH is fab, but he was in the army and sees it differently as I think he keeps his feelings hidden as he suffered badly from the 1st Gulf War and knows what Danny is likely (and probably already has) to do and see. Don't worry if you can't my lovelies x

My Dad never shared anything about his wartime experiences; I know his last posting was in Suez until 1956. Some things - rightly or wrongly - are better left shared by those that have experienced it IMO.

My flying for the week is done! Thank you for all the encouragement when my dh was away. He's back now, and I am making the most of him! He's intrigued by my flying and wants to see the daily list so that he can get involved. What a hero!

Hope you are OK... Even if she isn't a close friend, that's how you get new close friends IYSWIM? And sometimes it's better to talk to someone you aren't close to anyway, especially if you're worried about something :) (((hugs)))

    Bed found!!

Edge bits from carpet binned.. I chopped off about 4 inches all the way around the room so I could paint the skirting neatly.. :D

Radiator is painted brinze and looks fabulous.. well I like it anyway.
skirtings etc painted a kind of coffee colour and the 2 alcoves are dark chocolate brown.. the paper is cream with big red poppies and thin brown leaves.
The other 3 walls will be cream.. not sure if they are aware of it yet.. but we are! :p

I am going for the red carpet.. it is lush.. I decided I might never buy myself another bedroom carpet so I want the best one I can afford.. (freecycle then! lol)

It looks really dark at the moment with 3 primary blue walls and one brown..
True to form.. we got a completely different wallpaper to the one we went out to buy.. :D
