I have been cursed with elephants feet so I can't wear nice shoes (clarks extra wide fitting for kids). I would love to and if I had the feet for it and the money I would. Instead I have a bit of a handbag fetish. I love my radleys. I only get them if I have money and if not I get the from xmas and birthday money or OH if he is grovelling for something;).

I don't think spending money on shoes is wrong if you have it spare. Some people spend far more socialising and diamond dog collers.

I would just like to add - I am a size three and a half and I like shoes - I could be wasting my money smoking and poisoning everyone else around me so don't think my shoe spending is really offending anyone.

I would also like to say I had no idea why I liked shoes until I shoe shopped with my mate who takes size 8 who cried with dismay that every pair looked great on my diddy feet!!! I'd always been envious of the way she looked - tall, slim and blonde - I'm a big fat zero on all counts!!! So her being jealous of my feet was great!!!

I get all the sale bargains because of the size I take and when I am feeling frumpy and fat - I can put on my best clicky clacky tarty shoes and immediately feel great!

Wear your shoes with pride!!!

Incidentally I think I have met the man of my dreams - he loves shoes too!!!
