That title was my initial thought on logging into my boyfriend's O2 account for him. He's in Turkey and wanted to make sure he hadn't used too much extra on calls, texts, etc. I was greeted by this:

O2 30 on iPhone 24 month 01 Apr 10 - 23 Apr 10 -18.95
O2 30 on iPhone 24 month 31 Mar 10 - 22 Mar 12 605.43
O2 30 on iPhone 24 month 31 Mar 10 - 23 Apr 10 19.77
O2 30 on iPhone 24 month 24 Apr 10 - 23 May 10 25.54
Total tariff £631.79

I don't understand!!! The problem is his DD is due before he gets back from Turkey and without all this in front of him it'll be hard to discuss it with O2, if he can even call them for free from Turkey?? If they try and take the DD it WILL go through because he has an overdraft but we obviously don't want this... HELP!!!

EDIT: He also called O2 the day before he went and added some kind of roaming thing on for £3.00 which would let him send texts out of his allowance rather than at international rate but this doesn't seem to be showing, so it's telling me he's spent £9 on texts now.... AAAARGHHH I wish I could call O2 and talk but I know they won't discuss the account with me

If you take a loot at the dates on the first bit of the bill it's the cost of the whole 24 month contract by the look of it

    They've dated it 31 March 2010 - 22 March 2012

He needs to ring O2 before they take the amount as it's not right at all

I'm not sure what you are asking or disputing? The only thing that you have said is wrong with it is £9 worth of texts which is nothing in a £500 bill.

Edit: Well spotted nunnygirl. Very strange though as a £30/month tariff is £720, not around £500-£600.

Has he got a mate or do you have a male family member who could ring o2 on behalf of your OH (pretend to be him basically) so it can get sorted out before they take that amount? Obviously you'd have to ask your OH for any passwords etc on the account.

Like nunnygirl has said, the part with the £600+ charge on it, is from this year, to 2012 ~ don't know what on earth has happened there!!

He can't call them, he's in Turkey!! If he calls them he'll probably end up with another £20 on his bill....

His first DD went out fine last month I don't understand why it's changed to this....

It boils down to the fact that nobody on this site can help - he or someone else needs to ring o2 ASAP.

Watch with you phoning that they don't put a block on the account and the DD still gets taken out!

You should have got a bloke to ring up pretending to be your boyfriend.

If you ring them they may be able to contact him so it won't cost him anything. He may also be able to authorise you to act on his behalf. I've done that for my mother before now.

Might be an idea to blank out the telephone number that's showing on the bill
