We sort of knew both times what we were having - just a gut feeling - so if you think it's a boy, you could well be right.

Tiegan is a lovely name too. Reminds me of Doctor Who, wasn't there a character called that (ages ago, not in the new series).

Hmmm, I was convinced I was have a blue one both times!! I have two pinks :p

Tiegan is Cornish for lovely/special little thing and we though it was quite fitting due to her *hiccups* - Also OH likes Tig for short (can you guess where my username comes from ;))

chunky, thanks for the tip about brazil nuts, I will give that a try. The omega3 has been working really well actually (he went from being in trouble every day at school to winning an award for 'a remarkable improvement in behaviour' in the space of a term). He's having another little 'blip' at the moment though, and I'm wondering if it's because he's worrying about how the new baby is going to affect his position in the family. He seems enthusiastic about having a sister but who knows what goes on in a 6 year old brain?

Lol, that blows my theory out of the water then :D

We only had boys names picked out for DS and only had girls names for this one, but it could just have been a coincidence!

Snaggles it known as groundhog day in this house lol.

My DP was very sceptical so i stopped it for 2 weeks, he saw the difference and said get him back on it quick.

With him being 6 he could get involved lots. I have 4 kids the youngest being 6months old. When i had him my youngest was not very impressed but i persevered and now if i say i need a nappy he runs and gets it for me.

I also found a star chart really useful and every time he got 10 stars i gave him 50p for his money box but then as he got wise he had to then get 20.

We were a bit sceptical about it at first too, and I suppose it could still be a placebo effect, because we have explained to him why he has to take it every day....but even if it IS a placebo effect, it's been working so I'm happy lol :)

He has a star chart too, after taking advice from people on here who have kids with ADHD. He gets money which he saves up towards whatever toy he is wanting at the time (so teaching him the ways of DFW too :D).

I really hope I'll do a good job of keeping him involved when the baby arrives, because it breaks my heart to think of him feeling left out. He did say to me (a couple of months ago) that I wouldn't like him as much as the new baby because the new baby would be new, and new stuff is more fun than old stuff :( needless to say I have done sooooo much reassuring since then and he seems okay about it.

The funny thing is, at the back of my mind, I've got the complete opposite worry - that I wont love the new baby as much as I love him (silly I know, as I'm sure I will love them both the same).

You will love your baby just as much and i sure your little man will too, they are the worries you get in every pregnancy hun believe me.

What about when you buy anything new ask you ds to help you choose, ds has started to help me pick clothes nly thing is he keeps picking thomas the tank or pink stripes lol

Just another quick question, does your little man have dyslexic tendencies. the reason i ask is my son does and he is now doing something through school called toe by toe and in 2 months he has made massive headway. you can google it and get all the info. Sara x

I thought it was probably a worry that a lot of people had, so I haven't worried about it too much - it's just funny that DS is probably worrying I'll love the new baby more, and I'm worrying I'll love it less (well, not funny, but you know what I mean).

No, luckily DS doesn't seem to have the dyslexia side of it at all, his problems are the lack of focus/concentration etc and the impulsive behaviour. It affects his schoolwork sometimes, but mainly because he gets lost in his own little world where school work doesn't exist lol.

I know what you mean exactly hun.

I am pleased to hear he does not show these tendencies, it makes life that little bit harder. I know about being in their own world bit too ds live in star wars land anything that it not star wars, space or solar system related he really is not that interested. What is funny though a friend of mine tried to tell him that the stars light up purely becuase the sun gives them light. I was very proud when he gave quite a good scientific explanation as to what really lights them up and that the sun is actually a star. I was so proud of him and know that what he is interested on he is taking in. I almost cried listening to him. Any ways i am rambling now and getting quite emotional re telling it:o

i think i should be off to bed x

No, don't worry about getting emotional, I do that too!

He sounds like a lovely boy, how clever of him to know that the sun is a star and what makes them light up.

DS lives in Doctor Who world, which I think is probably next door to Star Wars land!

Snaggles have you thought of getting your son a present from the baby? My Dd was a little younger at 4, but she believed for years that her sister had brought her a present when she was born..oh those were the days. The only mistake I made was buying a toy that you pull the cord to make a fairy fly into the air, you can imagine just given birth and having to make sure this thing didn't hit the baby :rotfl:
