Snaggles and Elantan,
My friend was obviously very upset but also realistic-she knew it was a unfortunate but fairly common occurance. We tried to be postive about it-she got pregnant very quickly and so she should again...And miscarriages usually happen because of a problem with the fetus. So, they just keep trying!
SO sad though...
Bunny x xEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
My local Asda pharmacy has pregnancy kids 2 for a pound. Can't remember the make though - just ask!0

D'oh, just typed a reply thanking you all and then pressed something and it disappeared - but thank you!
DS has just given me a cuddle and told me not to worry because he was getting a bit big for the trampoline anyway (it was only one of those little ones, like an exercise trampette). And he also said 'Why don't you have a sleep on the sofa while I watch Power Rangers' lol (he just wants me to go to sleep so he can watch cartoons all morning, but it was still sweet!).
So I'm starting to feel a bit more human....although I just posted about holidays on Immoral Angels thread, which made me feel tearful again - not sure if it was because of the happy memory or the fact that we wont be having a holiday for AGES lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
just think though when you do get to have one it will be all the more enjoyed ...we havnt been away since gambia nearly 3 years ago(i think) and before that it was 4 years previous and i have to say i loved every bit of it and am (apart from the moeny side) desperately looking forward to cyprus as we havnt been away in years ...so snaggles it will be all the sweeter for you all0

Yes, it will, I'll remember that - to be honest I think it was just 'tired, hormonal' tears because of the happy memory! I'm going to be useless today, can you tell?"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Right, I'm going to pull myself together, stop snivelling and DO something - just not quite sure what yet"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Right, well I've pulled myself together (I think) and have just been through our eBay stuff and photographed it all. I'm going to list it next week, when DS is back at school.
Hubby is finishing work at 2.30pm today because he's on an early shift, so I'm going to suggest we go out for a bit. I think a change of scenery and some fresh air will do me good.
Just had my weekly email from BabyCentre, telling me that by the end of this week, the baby will be classed as 'term', which is great news! I know it could be another 6 weeks yet until I give birth (as they class 'term' as anything from 37-42 weeks), but it's just nice to know the end is in sight.
I really must get around to packing a hospital bag and writing a birth plan......"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
I've been having a think about money too....that makes a change!
It follows on from a post I put on elantan's thread, about being scared to use my credit card even when it's actually the 'right' thing to do.
We've got an offset mortgage, so any credit balances in our other accounts offset our mortgage interest - so the longer we can leave money in our accounts each month, the more money we save in interest.
I've already changed as many direct debits as possible to come out just before payday (so that our salaries stay in the account for as much of the month as possible) - the bills all go from one account, and we don't spend anything else from this account, so it doesn't get confusing.
But for our shopping and petrol, we are currently just paying for this by switch from our joint 'shopping' account. (We transfer £350 per month into this account, £150 for petrol and £200 for food/toiletries/cleaning products etc).
So what I'm planning to do is, use the credit card for all our shopping and petrol, leaving the £350 in the account all month, then when we get the credit card bill, pay it off straight away, so we don't pay interest on it.
I think we have now got to the stage where we can trust ourselves to do this without overspending or using the shopping money for something else, so we're going to give it a go, starting from payday (20th).
I'll keep a running total of what we are spending in my signature, to make sure we don't start going mad and spending more than we have budgetted."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
