Hi Batgirl - no of course I don't mind you posting - I'm delighted in fact, especially when you're telling me it might not hurt that much.....you can come and tell me that whenever you like! :rotfl:

Lucky you having a low pain labour. I need to stop watching those birth programmes I think - the women on them always shout and scream so much, I'm starting to wonder if they are just showing off hahaha!

Apparently hubby says I didn't scream or anything during my first labour (I can't remember) - I just went white and silent. Maybe I'm a closet scientologist, trying to have one of those silent births.

I'm definitely going to shout more this time.....well how often in life do you get to shout obscenities without people getting cross with you?! :D

Yep, 4 weeks and 3 days. Are you disappearing again soon then? How long is it for this time?

Aye, going shortly, cant say where or when, but its not that imminent, but its soon!

Just been to the midwife and it didn't go very well today

My blood pressure (which was too low 2 weeks ago and was causing me to nearly pass out) was too high......I can't win!

I'd had quite a stressful morning, because I was running late for the appointment and realised I'd not done a sample, so I went to the loo, then I managed to drop the sample bottle in the loo :o. I drank loads of water but couldn't manage to go again

So I arrived without a sample, and then couldn't get a parking space, so I was at the very last minute by the time I arrived. I popped into the loo at the doctors but still couldn't manage a sample, so I was really stressing out.

Anyway, she listened to the baby's heartbeat which was normal, and then sent me back out to relax and try to go to the loo again (which I managed - hurray!). The sample was normal, and then she re-did my blood pressure, which by then was back to normal, but because it was high at first, I've got to go back in a few days to have it checked again.

I asked her if the head had engaged, and she said it's right on the brim, but with second babies they can sort of pop in and out, so it probably did engage the other day when I felt the pressure. She's obviously changed her mind about making an early appearance!

Still full of a cold so going to relax and do nothing much today - midwife's orders :D

Actually I might use my 'relaxation time' to list some stuff on eBay. I've been putting it off for long enough, and the extra money would come in handy.
