Well,
DD was 8lbs and had about 5 stitches I think (didn't want to look or count, lol) so I guess she paved the way ok for DS.
I had SPD with DS as well-it was agony, hence why no No.3 for us!

Oh my god, what a horrible thing to say, I would have been upset too.
I'm not convinced the midwife that stitched me knew what that 'area' was supposed to look like lol..... The things we go through to bring a baby into the world!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
had stitches with dd (a LOT) and had terrible time- had more with ds but midwife stiched up 2nd time (doctor first time in theatre) and NO problems - not much pain either! also cured a lot of the problems from the first lot...
wow! The details we share on here lol!
Snaggles- was wondering, the amount you've saved for your baby fund, is that for after bubs is here or do you still haev things to buy - should really read back over your thread again!

The baby fund is basically extra money that we have 'obtained' from various sources - bonus at work, eBaying, overtime etc....money that we wouldn't have normally had. So we have used this for buying things for the baby, in an attempt not to get into debt. It's not very clear in my sig, but the baby fund had £415 in originally, but we've spent £329 of that so far on 'baby stuff' so we've got £86 left to spend.
We've got pretty much all of the big items though, so the rest will go on nappies and things (still intending to try re-useables but have been advised to wait until after the baby is born to buy them, because different makes fit different shapes of babies).
I'm glad you said that the second lot of stitching sorted out some of the problems from the first time - I can't honestly say I've had problems exactly, but lets just say, if I had been doing it myself, I would have done it a bit neater!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Yes things aren't as erm....neat as they should be after all that but they'd be a lot worse if one very lovely health visitor hadn't introduced me to the magical powers of lavender oil lol. She obviously knew about how 'things' were and caught me on one of those I'm-going-to-sob-about-everything-and-nothing days when DD2 was about a week old. She gave me this bottle of lavender oil and told me to sit in a luke warm bath with a few drops of it in everyday for a couple of weeks and it'd help with the healing. It worked fantastically and was really soothing, highly recommend it to anyone who has a natural delivery.
I've decided I'm going for 9lb 5oz btw.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Lol elantan....I presume you mean you massaged olive oil into your perenium (am I allowed to say that?
) religiously every day in the run up to the birth, like you're supposed to

Lavender oil - I'll remember that. I love the smell of lavender, so I'll enjoy that!

God I've had a horrible day and it's not even 10am yet. I couldn't sleep properly because of the pain in my back and hips, so I got up at 5am, made DS & DH's packed lunches, made hubby's breakfast (he got up early to go in to do some overtime). Then because I was so tired I fell asleep on the sofa, and didn't wake up until 8am, hurting all over. Had to drag DS out of bed, throw his school uniform on, and virtually force feed him his breakfast, so that we could get to school on time (he was a little angel through all of this, bless him).
When we were in the school yard, he got very clingy and said he didn't want to stay at school, because he had no friends and no-one to play with.
I was trying to comfort him, and tell him that he does have friends, and that lots of people like him, but then one of the other kids came up handing out party invitations, and made a big show of giving one to everyone except DS - in fact he came right up to DS's face and said 'I haven't got one for YOU'.
Poor little thing, the look on his face was like a knife through my heart. He's had a few behavioural problems (ADHD) and to be honest, he DOES find it difficult to make friends, but he has been doing so much better recently.
I dunno if it's just my hormones playing up but I can't stop crying."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Oh snaggles sending you a ((hug)). There was a thread on the family board I was reading yesterday about the same thing, a little boy who was the only one in the class not invited to a party. How horrible can some parents be to allow their kids to do this? I've put a link as there were some lovely replies.
