Thanks Sea, I probably have lost weight myself as I had quite a lot of morning sickness, but it stopped weeks ago, so I thought I would have put more on by now. Yes, my friend was really quite small so you may be right, she might have needed the extra weight to be healthy. And I've still got 8 or 9 weeks to go, so I suppose there's plenty of time yet lol!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Yes...I put on over a stone in the last 6 weeks!!
Mind you...had gained quite a bit before then as well! Convinced myself that I would snap back after (what a joke, think I thought I was a supermodel before hand, when I most certainly was not!!:) ). It does come off though, especially if you've not eaten for 5 like me!
If you're really concerned - mention it at the next app and maybe the midwife will check everything over once again to put your mind at rest?

If those are your two in the photo, they're adorable, and well worth not snapping straight back to supermodel shape for!
I was definitely not Kate Moss to start with either, but I AM looking forward to just fitting into normal clothes again - thank goodness for the current trend for smock tops lol.
I think I'm going to get hubby to take some photos of my bump, so that I'll remember what I looked like - I haven't got any from my first pregnancy except for one that's taken from the front, and you really can't tell I'm pregnant."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Crikey! I have quite a few from both pregnancies (although more of me havily pregnant with the second) and there's no disguising the HUGE bump in front of me
(and for that matter, around me too- I do put it on all over - might even dig a photo out to show the hilariousness of it!).
Definitely go for taking lots of photos of pg - I hated them all when they were taken but love looking at them now
Thanks- I agree they are lovely! DS was 9lb12oz, although quite skinny when born so I blame him for current stomach issues!

Gosh, 9lb12 is quite a baby to have to deliver. DS was 8lb11.5oz, but also quite skinny.
I'm just going to stop worrying about the weight thing, I'm seeing the midwife every 3 weeks now, so I'm sure she will tell me if there's any problem, and I'm feeling okay apart from aches and pains and tiredness. I think it might be because I seem to be carrying very high, and there really isn't much room in my stomach, so while I think I'm eating loads, because I always feel full, maybe I'm just eating much smaller portions. So no more moaning about weight from me....not until after the birth at least!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Lol, I take it you had quite a big baby?
I'm not *that* uncomfortable really, thanks, just having a little whinge hehehe."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
If its any consolation I lost weight with all of my 4 pregnancies. I can't say I hadbad morning sickness either. I felt sick most of the time but was not actually sick often. I ate ok. But for some reason I lost weight right upto the last 6 weeks or so when I gained a bit. I am certainly no super model either!
All my babes were between 7 and 8 lbs so there were no problems with them. As long as you try to balance your diet and are getting some protien and calcium you should be fine.
However i'm not a midwife. So it would be wise to mention your concerns at your next appointment.
As for you back pain it is probably conected to your spd. I had alot of trouble with my back and the ligament holding it together. The physio gave me a very unatractive support thing (nick named the sumo belt) which helped a bit. Might be worth asking about.0 -
snaggles
i only put 8lbs on with my son (he weighed 7lbs 10) and 10lbs with my daughter (she weighed 9lbs 15) so i wouldnt worry to much:j

Erm yeah, any advance on a 10lb 9.5oz girl or do I win!
And I think having a bit of a whinge is good for you so do it as much as you need to.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0
