    Morning,

A couple of use ups and throw outs:

Maxfactor masterpiece max mascara - WIBA yep. Binned as definitely opened for quite a few months.

Matrix Biolage heat styler - WIBA nope. Last few times I've used it it's turned my hair greasy.

Revlon concealer "with botafirm" - WIBA nope. Also binned as old but also pretty useless.

    In:
Rimmel hide the blemish (this is the only proper concealer I have apart from an Aldi touche eclat copy.

Rimmel lipgloss. Have had a cold recently so it's good hygiene to throw out any glosses used, bacteria etc etc. So now buy budget lipglosses.

Rimmel max (pink packaging) mascara - I saw an online video where a make up artist recommended this and so bought some. I may have also bought a Superdrug budget brand mascara after reading about it on here, TRUE2U?, or something. And this was a short visit to Superdrug...:rotfl:

Used up: vaseline cocoa butter smoothing body butter.

wiba: personally no, but I don't think its a terrible product: its a medium heaviness, and a nice enough cocoa butte scent that becomes musky and utty on the skin, not sickly sweet, but would still compet with a lot of perfumes. great, I imagine, for people who wisely steer clear of perfume on these hot days and want to smell of the beach. :) The reason I personally WNBA is because i believe that of the ''normal'' range of daily performance body butters I still believe the dove pro age offers superior moisturising and skin softening and would be my regular choice from supermarket/boots shelves for about the same price.

cocoa butter and coconut are scents of my childhood, and so every now and then I crave it for comfort, but I think next time I'll try the cheaper Palmers again, I've forgotten whether that smells good or not!

    Morning everyone

Two use ups to report from the last couple of days. A Nice 'n Easy ColourSeal Gloss for Brunettes. WIBA? Yes although I don't need to as such as this comes with the hair colouring pack. On the pack it says it contains 6 weekly conditioning treatments. It's quite rich and a little does go a long way for me with this one. I have fine and oily hair and so only tend to apply conditioner to about one inch of the ends of my hair, although I apply more as I get nearer to needing a hair cut. I have 3 tubes of this to use up as I've always got some left over by the time I buy my next hair colour.

I have also used a Herbal Essences Rainforest Flower Dazzling Shine for normal hair conditioner. WIBA? Maybe if on offer. It was ok but nothing special. I acquired a load of HEs when Boots were paying you to take them away. They were giving 100 points when the new style HE bottles came out and they had reduced the old style bottles to about 70p ish. So I was making approx. 30 p profit on each one! My stash of conditioner had built up to embarrassing proportions but I've recently had a 'stocktake' and am very pleased with how I'm now down to 'reasonable' numbers. I don't think I've bought any conditoner for 12-18 months or even longer! Here is what is left:

Herbal Essences, various types and sizes x 6
    Simple x 2
Clairol Nice 'n Easy ColourSeal Gloss for Brunettes x 2 (plus one on the go)
    Elvive x 1
    John Frieda x 1
    Pantene shine treatment
Pantene Replenishing Mask (about two thirds of pot left)
HE Intensive Conditioning Balm (enough for about two applications left)
Various sachets of shampoo, conditioner, hair masks

I'm sure I've got at least one more pot of the Pantene Replenishing Mask. It may be hidden at the bottom of one of my wardrobes where I keep some overspill toiletries!

Slopped loads of mint cream on feet - they are like sandpaper from walking dog over beach twice a day.:D

Are you walking barefoot? I always find the sand smooths any rough bits for me....its most abrasive when wet, so maybe paddle up the beach then if you can moisturise on the beach or as soon as you get home to seal the smoothness rather than expose the sand scrubbed feet to rubbing footwear?

    okay girls here,s a challenge!

my hair was dark brown and I have coloured it for years as it is going grey(a mid brown). After my hols the "brown" has gone a lot lighter and I have about 1 inch of grey roots(not a good look!)I wondered if I buy a much lighter than usual shade of brown with the thought of going towards blonde(not too blonde as have brown eyes)and each time go lighter whether the grey would blend?def not going all out grey as looks awful!
anyone out there done anything similar?

Hi Rosemary - why not go to a hairdressing college and ask them to do it for the first time? They will go through colour charts with you and be able to give better advise as to what suits you etc, and you could probably get the colour and a hair cut for about £15! The tutor supervises them throughout so it's still professionally done but a fraction of the price - and if you don't like it then you know that it can be corrected easily by them? I thoroughly recommend this when switching colours/styles as even colour correction (which i used to pay over £100 for in salon) can be as little as £10 :)

Back to basics...I used up an Elvive conditioner & a Gliss Conditioner - using up the backlog my darling sister leaves behind, opening everything in sight :oWIBA a conditioner is a conditioner - Elvive yes, but no to the Gliss as the smell brings back rather unpleasant memories of holidays I'd rather forget!

I used up my £5 No7/Ruby & Millie voucher but no cosmetics were bought :T I sneakily picked up R&M cosmetics sponges (£6) and went to the self services till and the voucher worked! I wasn't sure if they could or not as they were an accessory but only £1 spent and I will defo use these - no till spit so no more temptation ;)
I'm steadily working through a Moringa shower gel which i expect to be used up this week or next and a mango body lotion from the Body Shop (both items) which should be gone in the same time span. My dad has 'borrowed' a coconut body milk spray from the BS too (after reading a recommendation on the grabbit board we found that it stops the midges and mozzies from biting us!) so I guess I can count that as one down from my stash?

Have a good day girlies and enjoy the glorious weather (long may it continue! :D ) x

I think all grey can look really chic, depending on the hair style and type. But its not foreveryone. Going a little lighter is certainly meant to be the least aging option, I would suggest going lighter also might make regrowth look less obvious, depending n the shade of grey your hair is.

    Morning/Afternoon All,
I went to boots this weekend to spend my £5 voucher and got a No7 concealer for £2.50. This is the only concealer I use and the one I have at the mo is nearly running out so its a great buy.

Then my Halo slipped and i saw the 3 for 2 offer on all make up so i bought a No17 nail varnish in 'ornage soda' colour and got a 'pink grapefruit' one free. Not bad for an additional £2.99 spend. Its the lasting finish ones too and its lasts a while! (Especially being an IT Analyst opening up machines and fixing them all day!)

Used up a Sainsbury's Sensitive Shave Gel - WIBA Yes! it makes your legs really soft and doenst cause dimples on my legs which non-sensitive ones do. I dont have any in the stash so will need to buy one at the 'payday big shop' today!

I went almost all month with no spends aswell :(
£5.49 wasnt bad at all though and I will be spending less than £1 on the shave gel too.

Oh No! Ran out of fake tan too.........i need it to help cover up the acne rosecea on my face as i cant tan it naturally as it will cause too much damage to my skin.....will see how much i can get a Garnier Mist one for.....
