RoshyDoshy, use compeed (from chemists) on your blister but make sure you follow the instructions. It acts like a second skin and keeps the blister clean and soothed underneath. Good luck
I'd second this. I also like the scholl blister plasters you can get in boots and superdrug - they're nice and large and cover blisters well. I've used them quite a lot0 -
thanks fixx
i did think about those as have used them on my heels before, but as these are on the soles of my feet would they stay there? and (if easily disgusted or squeamish please look away now!) should i pop them and smother in sudocrem first? I want to start caring nicely for my feet as i've never really cared much for them in the past!0 -

Ouch, sole is not a good place! I do normally pop my blisters with a sterilised needle, as i find the pain from the pressure/swelling is the worst part
Don't know what the sudocrem woudl do to any plasters though, they might not stick.
As its on the sole, do you have any kind of light bandage, or ankle support or anything that might help hold plasters in place?0 -
I'll have some trial and error tonight fixx
thanks very much for the help! homemade pedicure i think tonight!:o

Please don't burst blisters, a blister plaster should be enough. I know from experience that the more you play about with it, the more uncomfortable you can make it. Try one of the jelly shoe insert thingys (sorry I can't remember the name) next time you wear those sandals. Partyfeet, that's the one!0

If you want to start caring for your feet you could try using up some thick body lotion/butter (or if you have any specific foot cream) on your feet overnight and covering them with old socks, similar to overnight hand treatment with those funny gloves that make you look like you're about to do a magic trick! In the morning you have nice soft tootsies.0

Ohh for me I have to burst them - they irritate me so much but I clean and antiseptic the area often until it heals, thanks for the advice though
And the moisturising will have to wait until the area heals, i'll just do my usual bits and pieces till then!0 -
Ohh p.s. the sandals are usually comfy but i had a 3 mile trek across country (country roads, a country park and a gold course) to get to work so it was just me being silly!0

Laydeees, I need some advice:
I need to buy a cheap (but good!) moisturiser that I can use on my combination skin and which will allow my foundation to 'sit' properly on my skin, IYKWIM. Any recommendations? I need something less than £10, please, and the more under, the better. :beer:Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi InaPickle! Not sure if it will be of any help but i have acne rosacea and my skin is dry in the places i have it which causes my make up to flake off not long after ive put it on. Ive started using the Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser (there is also a rich version too)http://www.simple.co.uk/products/Kind-To-Skin-Hydrating-Light-Moisturiser-125ml-76.aspx
This is great for my skin as it absorbs quickly and makes a nice soft base for my make up to sit on. I think mine cost about £3.
This is just what i use so might not be right for you but i thought id mention it anyway! They told me I was a valued customer, now they send me hate mail! - Rebecca Bloomwood :happylove
