I'm now the proud owner of a £10 Boots gift voucher (from doing surveys) and a £5 No 7 voucher.
I'm going to spend them tomorrow on as many essential toiletries as possible and the No7 one on a treat for me (will actually spend no more than a fiver).

Shopping with fake money - sounds good to me!

Anyone aware of any good everyday stuff bargains at Boots (shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste etc)

Boots SMile toothpaste ad mouthwash is bogof at the moment if that's any help!

Had a bit of a naughty day today and spulrged in Boots :(

I got; Umberto Gianni shampoo, conditioner and elixir spray thing, mini umberto gianni curl spray, mini charles worthington curl cream, dove summer body glow, 2 toothpastes, 2 nail varnishes, no 7 bubble bath and foundation sponges (I did have 3 no7 vouchers, that I wombled though :D). I did have a very BAD day at work yesterday so was trying to cheer myself up, silly me.

    Oh Dear Silversava!
I was up to my elbow in plaster last year for 2 months, not funny is it xx
However in the plaster room at the hospital i was given a colour chart (yes really!!) and my cast was a lovely shade of pink!

Mind you - I lost loads of inches round my arm when I broke it (spent a year in plaster - I had green!! ;) ) I did spend quite a long time trying to persuade them to plaster my thighs....

Hi Tommyk - I chose pink too - at least it looks a bit more cheerful. I'm expecting to have a leg & a stick when the plaster comes off. I'm nearly 6ft so I'll probably look like Olive Oyl

  • Hi all,

Just came accross this thread. I have for a few months now made an effort not to spend to much on toiletries and after using up lots of things, I am now only trying to replace things as I go along, but still making the best use of offers.

So, I went to Boots today with the intention of only spending on a few basics but they had some good offers on the things that I needed. So. I have spend a bit more than planned (still nothing what I used to spent though!), but won't have to buy toiletries for a few weeks now, so I guess I have saved something.

I had a use up last night although it was really tiny, only about 10ml! My wonderful mother loves sending me 'care packages' with bits that she thinks I'll like and I've had this teeny tiny bottle of Kiss My Face Early to Bed shower gel/bath gel for nearly two years! WIBA? Probably not, it was just as good as any old shower gel in the bath arena, although it did smell nice.

Hi Ladies! (And Culchied - my goodness you've caused some excitement round these parts!)

Not much to report around here - I used up the mini S&G Clean on Me Shower cream - WIBA? - do you know I think I might - it smelt lovely and lathered up well. I believe the full size one comes in a pump bottle too which sounds economical so yes, this may well be on my list in the future. I have now got a Boots Mediterranean Lemon and something-or-another one out of the cupboard to use next. Am going for a full on friday pamper in a moment - face mask and foot scrub, leg & pit shave, body scrub etc. I'd like to think I'll finish the Avon strawberry & yogurt mask but I think the stuff is everlasting!

I'm away overnight tomorrow so will take the last in a packet of face wipes with me and use up. I'm hoping to get into a BS over the weekend at some stage as I have 2 x Telegraph £5 vouchers to use up and I'm hoping that the BOGOF offers online are also available instore - anyone know? Current thinking is I will buy two Body Butters that are in the BOGOF and pay £7.50 + 1 voucher, then probably with the other I'll get a pair of shower gels from the BOGOF and just have £1 to pay + the voucher. Hmmm...decisons!

My roll on deodorant might die tomorrow morning - nothing sounds when I shake it now and I got the feeling it was on its last legs this morning. I don't mind roll-ons during ther summer months but I've not enjoyed using that one up through the colder weather I must admit!

Right - off to pamper, night all! :D

I had a look through a bulging makeup bag in which I keep sample sachets (the type you get free in magazines or through the post) and have decided to use some of these over the coming week. After my shower last night, I opened and used up a sachet of Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion. It absorbed easily however I wasn't keen on the fragrance, so glad it was only a sample size.

    Hi,

    Used up:
Roc face cream (sorry couldnt remember name, one with vit a in it I think) - WIBA, no. once I read you needed to use SPF after using this I wasn't too keen on using it on my face. So used it on my legs and stuff. Bit wasteful I know but better than lobbing it away.
Regis keratin (sp) conditioner - WIBA, maybe. I thought this had become my preferred conditioner but my hair is in such a state that even this doesnt seem to be cutting it.
Simple face wipes - age regeneration or something, wiba, no. Since I've stopped using face wipes and started using wash off cleansers my skin is miles better.
Champneys vitamiracle body lotion - wiba no. found this sample size stashed away. the texture is ok, but runny. the smell is weird. just couldnt use it again.
