    Hya all

Thanks you so much for all your lovely thoughts and kind wishes for today.

It was a lovely funeral service, a full house. Mind you, my friend's friends appeared much more upset than her family...but that is a story I won't go into. :silenced:

I am really glad I knew her, and for so long too (over 14 years). She was a great friend and we got on so well, despite the 40 years age-difference, I have missed her the last 2 weeks and no doubt will miss her all the rest of my life, but I will cherish all the lovely memories I have of her.

So now I am back home and fidgeting. It is too hot to work in the garden (26 deg!), so I fancy doing some cross-stitch, but I am happy to stay on here for a little while longer and natter to everyone here.

    Hi Keiss
Glad today went OK, I've been thinking about you.

Keep hold of the memories you have of your lovely friend, they really do help. Your words above are a tribute to her, she must have been a lovely person.

    Hugs

Have a good holiday CW looks like the weather will be lovely. Glad today went well Keiss I was thinking about you. The sofa & chair are lovely 3Dogs brilliant bargain, wish we had an auction place near us, mind you I think I'd be like BMF and sneeze and wind up paying £100 for a 1p ashtray when I don't smoke.

Another NSD for me making 4/6, made the bread so no shopping trip needed just for bread and ending up spending £15 on stuff we don't really need. Not sure if its the weather or what but I feel absolutely naff today, no energy and my brain won't do what it's supposed to do, so very little in the way of work got done today. Going to try for a NSD tomorrow, I've got 6 days left before the end of my budget so it's looking good. In case I don't get on over the weekend have a great weekend everyone, hope the sun shines and the pennies stay in your purses :)

Well today I was expecting to spend as I had to go for drinks for a colleagues leaving do, so thought as I was spending anyway I'd treat myself to lunch (m &s ),
Well it turns out work decided to pay for drinks so I wasted what could have been a NSD. tut.

Great bargain with the sofa 3dogs, not sure they'll be room for you and OH once the dogs see them though!

Just a quick pop in to say I'm up to 11 now (woohoo!:)), got lots more to say but will end up ranting so..........

Glad it went OK today Keiss, never easy, and I'm rubbish at the words of comfort, but was thinking of you

Hope you have a lovely weekend Cheryl, u deserve it after working so hard all week

Love the sofa 3Dogs, what a bargain!

hugs to anyone who needs one, well done to all those meeting their targets, and I'll be back in a better frame of mind tomorrow hopefully :(:(:(

(just a quick small rant - at 7pm today, after 11 long hot hours at work, and 30 minutes after i was supposed to be at home riding my horse, i was stuck at work sorting an I/V drip on a cat and it did its very sloppy business all over me. I remember when friday nights used to be fun!)
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon ....

It certainly is helping, things are pretty tough here and i never would have thought that taking on a challenge such as this would encourage someone so undisciplined as me, but it really works!

That's really good to know, katholicos. It's really surprising how this challenge gets a grip of your mind after a while and you really want to succeed. Really pleased you've made your target this month.

Sorry you're having a tough time at the moment, really hope things pick up for you soon.

    Hi lovely NSD gang :A
Wow, what a fabulous day it’s been today:j. Hope everyone has had some sunshine, lots more to come over the weekend, I think.
Everyone’s doing really well this month - keep going everyone, that front page is going to be a riot of dancing elephants and bananas if we keep going as we are:rotfl:....

    Targets met today:
Surfbabe: :jwell done - target of 10 met today - that’s fantastic! :j Hope you’re going to go on and smash that target out of the water! ;) Dancing elephant coming your way now!!:)
katholicos: :jand well done to you as well - target of 10 met today:j - brilliant!!! Looking forward to seeing lots more being reported now as you’ve obviously got the hang of it now.;)
    Have a lovely weekend!:)

    Well done to:
verynewmoneysaver: :j well done for no 6 - you’re doing brilliantly, only 2 more to get now. Keep going!:)
LadyfromVenice: :j well done for no 16 today - brilliant - you’re determined to get the dancing banana to go with the dancing elephant, I can tell!!!;)
Hope DS2 has recovered and no more smelly accidents today and you managed to get some of that lovely sunshine today:)
Thanks:T - delighted with my 15 yesterday and the new one I got today
TheBees: well done for no 12:j - you’re doing brilliantly. Only 4 more to get now - keep going!
Think you’ve probably started your weekend now - hope you enjoy it and get some rest. Sounds as though you’re having a busy time at the moment. Hope DS’s exam went OK?:)
Keiss 21: :jwell done for no 13 - you’re doing so well with everything else that is going on in your life now - brilliant!:)
cw18: well done for no 15 today, :jyou are doing so well this month!!
    Have a lovely weekend away:)
Firewalker: :jwell done for no 8 - another one doing brilliantly!! Only 2 more to get now. Love the idea that it’s becoming fun - that’s the spirit!! Keep going!:)
JES_F1: yay - another one on no 8:j - well done!! 2 more to go for you as well now, you’re doing brilliantly. Sending you lots of positive thoughts!:)
Herby: :jwell done for no 4 - great start for you! Fingers crossed for another one tomorrow.
Good plan to make the bread today, so often a trip for a loaf of bread or a pint of milk ends up costing a bloomin’ fortune:eek:
Hope you’re not coming down with some horrible lurgy and it’s just the heat that’s got to you today
katenut: :jwell done for getting to no 11 - woohoo indeed - that’s brilliant!!
    Oh noooooooooo to cat story.:(:(

    And hello to everyone else:
thrifty fifty: massive change for you since January - well done. Keeping my fingers crossed for you for no 12 today - you’ve definitely got the hang of the NSD lark:T
boultdj: yep, it’s got steel in the middle but I’ve also left you some length so you can have a wander around the forums - can’t have you parked here getting bored, you might try to find somewhere to spend some money!! :rotfl:
Sounds like you had a busy day ahead of you - hope you got everything done (ironing today, though:eek:)
honey: oh dear:( - not a good week in the honey household. Never mind, make a note of where you went wrong this week, pick yourself up and (in the words of the song) start all over again next week. If you get organised next week, there’s no reason why you can’t get to 10 which would be brilliant. Sending you lots of positive thoughts:)
Dorastar: little spend days are OK - we don’t mind them. Hope DD enjoys her trip out tomorrow:)
Tixy: what a pain about the drinks:(, you could have been on no 9 today. Never mind, only 2 more to get now, you’ll do it. :)

Well I've managed to get another one today as well, taking me to no 16, very pleased with myself indeed. I don't intend spending any money over the weekend either, so hoping to get another 2;).

Off to do my usual update and add 2 more dancing elephants - see you all tomorrow

Aargh! Can't sleep - have caught some vile stomach bug off OH and fear I am in for a long night...

On the plus side, am up to 10 NSDs for the month, largely because the weather has been soooo nice so I've been able to cycle to work. Good luck everyone - here's to a lovely sunny w/e.

<groan, clutch stomach in pain, wonder if this means i'll have lost weight at Slimming World on Monday>

  • Morning all, checking in to see how everyone is doing and reporting in with NSD 7. Half term has scuppered any plans for NSDs as there is something going on everyday. Ah well, I'm really enjoying having my DC at home with me (and still being in my PJs at 8:20am, unheard of as we usually leave the house by 7:30).

Right must get a move on, shopping day for us plus a few errands to run. Hopefully, we'll actually make it to the beach this afternoon - it's been in the plans for a few days but things keep cropping up :o

    Have a good day everyone!
