Well although today was spendy,I did get some bargains.

I spent £1.50 in Wilkinsons and got
    1 can of cola-i was thirsty-44p
    ibuprofen-28p
    cotton wool buds-28p
    face cleanser pads-50p

I spent 95p in M&S on cheesy poofs (naughty weekend treat)

£2.30 on icecreams for me and OH-I know pricey from the van, but I had a ninety nine with raspberry sauce, childhood memories came flooding back, and I even managed to spill it on my t-shirt and all down my chin (how sophisticated :) )

£1.70 in Morrisons half price health and beauty deal

18p cotton wool buds-now stocked up the the year
    27p face cleansing pads
70p rose vaseline lip pot- I have been waiting and waiting to try this, but couldn't justify £1.70 before, when they used to be less than £1-but thats the market for you. But ooh it smells like the candyfloss lip balm they used to do in the bodyshop. Mmmm

59p-salted rice cakes-snack a jacks are getting a bit pricey. These ones might be bland, but then again they might not. We'll have to see :)

    £1.50-Tesco

Go ahead biscuits for work and a naughty bar of chocolate.

Ooh and could I make it another NSD for tomorrow as I'm back in the sticks and lunch is being paid for again tomorrow. Yay

Oh, he's so cute, and he matches the sofa beautifully :)

As you can see Tixy - Billy finds the sofa very comfy once he had rearranged the cushions:-

....It's really surprising how this challenge gets a grip of your mind after a while and you really want to succeed.....
It's kinda like being pregnant...everyone must feel differently about it & we all have our own thoughts on what we will or won't be letting our children get away with, when you see others playing up in the supermarket :p You just cannot explain how the NSD Challenge works--it has to be experienced first hand to understand :o

Now look...I've been thinking about this 'Put the money out early' business. I don't have to worry about school tuck or after-school clubs n'stuff, but the window cleaner calls whenever he feels the urge so-to-speak. We've a jar that I try to keep a selection of coinage in for the times he calls & I haven't the cash or The Offspring have to pay, so I consider that I have 'paid' him because the money is there. Likewise I've ordered a new brush off the door-drop catalogue folk & put the four quid in the said jar on Thurs as it was a shopping day, effectively 'paying' for my order. I dare say if ever I went away for a few days, I'd leave some money for essentials like bread & stuff as I would have bought them if I were at home; guess it all comes down to a little bit of forward planning again :)
When it comes to medical/dentist, i only class it a spend day if I stop for a cuppa/ buy a mag/ go shopping after the appointment. I have a pre-paid cert for scripts but even so, no-one can predict the future & when anti-biotics etc may be needed, so I don't count 'emergency' meds as a spend either. If Pup is unlucky enough to require treatment, the first is not a spend but others are, up to the level of our insurance excess. Petrol needs to be bought on a spend day & if I forget, that is a spend I could have avoided so I have to accept that I fuffed it :rotfl:
Just wanted to explain my own personal theory on my own take on my own rules for my own Challenge :p

Like the sofa--suits the room so added whoo-hoo :T
I wasn't directing my pathetic tyrant toward anyone in particular so no need to apologise cw.
Enjoy the school hols all you parents of under-16s; just think! Only another 2mths & the little darlings are off for SIX WEEKS :rotfl:Perhaps we should start gathering ideas for freebie activities...

I fell foul of the market yesterday although--in my defence--I really did need a new bag. I've a largish purse & diary so need a bigger bag, & finding one I liked at a price I was prepared to pay has been a nightmare  At least I know what the market is going to be like for the next couple of weeks & there's nothing there I would necessarily make a special trip for; a shame really as I'd like to support my local shops more than I do, but if they ain't got what I want....

I have been very lucky with Snack a Jacks lately - friend at local car boot/market sells them to me for £2 .................................... for a box of 12 packs of Jumbo Choc Chip ......... yes that's right £2 for 12 packs - that is under 17p per packet

I am buying 2 boxes a week while he has them, to stock up - they are great for S World diet - hubbie and me have a couple every day (hubbie actually has more when I am not looking - they don't count then!!)

Oh I just love bargains................. party0011.gif

Ooh la la :) I'm actually starting to like them more than crisps-a bit more meatier in substance I think. The salt and vinegar ones also have the added benefit of exfoliating your lips (they are soooooo salty) :)

I'm getting so tight, I saw some tea tree oil in Wilkinsons today for 99p and wondered whether I could use this as a face toner? Not sure if I need to dilute though. Good old google will come in handy I'm sure.

I currently have three hurty bump spots on my face. Silly me sent off for freebie Rok anti-wrinkle cream- as I'm starting to get lines around the eyes and forehead from frowning at naughty emails from bad people at work. Think I started a bit too early with all that, it was too rich and now I look like I have the plague. Soooo attractive.

Thrifty you can use Tea Tree oil neat on the skin[lavander as well] I know that cause I'v used it myself and I'v got eczma but only reason I know it and lavander can be used neat is cause I did aromatherapy for free when I was getting rent + council tax rebate. And 99p is a good price. Hello natasha86 the more the merrier.

3Dogs your dog is really cute and it looks like he's made himself very comfortable, we have a cat like that, he believes the sofa belongs to him and he allows us to sit on it with him if we don't disturb him lol!

Not sure if £15 counts as a small spend or medium spend? I didn't plan on spending that much but DH wanted ice-cream and there were some offers on stuff we're running low on. Main shopping day is tomorrow but only going to Al*i then I plan to have 2 or 3 NSD's in a row, so I can hit my target as my month ends on the 27th!!! I can do it, I can do it :A

I made the DH go very quiet this morning, our Tesco clubcard vouchers came and I pulled out the stash I'd been saving since last year and we had almost £50, he didn't realise you get 4 times the value for travel etc. So I applied for eurostar travel vouchers for our hols using £40 of them and saved us £160.00 and we still have £8 in vouchers left so £32.00 already for the next trip :j (I know I'm very sad for feeling really chuffed that I saved us some money!)

Told DH we could now go at the peak times on the fast train and it wasn't going to cost us a penny and he was gobsmacked, he didn't realise I'd been saving them for ages, so now we won't have to pay ferry or chunnel fares and we have more pennies to spend on our hols, I feel really chuffed, made me wonder though does spending vouchers count as a spend day or not?

Now all I have to do is stay out of the shops Mon, Tues & Weds, will have to find lots of things to do to keep me occupied and hide my purse! If I make it that's £15 to my extra holiday spends... Hope everyone else is having a good weekend, lovely weather here but I'm roasting hot.
