Hello ladies
How are you all doing?
Been working in Germany this last week and have had neither the time or the free internet access in my room to keep up with the threadNow I'm back I just don't have the energy. Didn't spend a penny of my own between Sunday and Friday but at this point have notched up only 12 NSD's so far
.
I went a bit crazy before I went though and bought things that I felt I needed for the trip.......every day I went shopping after work........One day it was a new white bra (Taking it back), the next it was an essential black vest top and an essential white vest top (Both going back). One night I went and bought 5 pairs of trousers that not only fit me (since I didn't miraculously loose a stone before I went) would be cool and suitable for running around a conference centre but still look reasonably smart (am taking 3 of them back unworn - phew), then I decided I needed nightwear suitable for exiting my hotel room in the middle of the night in the event of a fire (Never happened but I did wear my new swanky PJ's for the first 2 nights until I remembered why I hate PJ's in bed - they REALLY annoy my crotch). Then the night before I went I bought regular plasters, blister plasters, savlon, anti-histamines, ibuprofen, eye drops, diareaze and god knows what else took up too much room and that I didn't end up using. I did however discover that mixing Lavender Oil with the Sanctuary's Foot Spa Cream worked wonders on sore and swollen feet but was freaking stingey if accidentallly rubbed in my eye. Shoulda bought an eyebath.
Had a great time despite it being work and long hours. I met some great people and discovered the joy of buttered pretzels (fortunately not available here) and the nightmare that is two boiled bavarian white sausages served in a pot of hot water.
I've eaten some things in my time and am pretty game when it comes to gastronomic experiences but THIS I could not eat. I was talking to one of my new German pals the next day and apparantly they are delicious - you are meant to hold one firmly in your hand, pinch the top off, dip it in sweet mustard and suck the contents out. I'd rather rub lavender oil in my eye. On the whole the food was unfortunately great and despite all the running around I've not lost any weight. I did however come back with a LUST for vegetables and had to go out today and buy some & some fruit. Strawberrys are expensive but sooooooo good.
So at 12 NSD's and only 7 days left and a friends birthday, in which to achieve a futher 5............If I don't make my target can I still come on the night out?
Hope everyone is well and when am feeling a little more pathetic I shall hopefully catch up a bit more0 -

Good to have you back CurlyGirl. Glad you didn't have to take the diareaze :rotfl:.
Those sausages look revolting:eek:.
NSD 17 for me today. Had to do planning and preparation for my under 5s groups today so didn't get to see much of that lovely sun. Only two afternoons off this week so can't see me getting in the garden at all. I must remember to look at my emails as I haven't done it for a week. I looked yesterday and I had 235 waiting for me . I hope none were urgent!

Hello every-one, hope you've all had a fab weekend. Haven't had time to catch up will leave that for when I'm less tired!
Friday and Saturday were spend days. I ruined Friday by a 10p parking ticket to the docs and then decided thatsince I count that, I might as well have a chippy for tea to ease the pain.
And on Saturday some friends om mine were in Glasgow from London so I had lunch with them and pottered in the sun!
I can't quite believe todatwas an NSD and have double and tripple checked... I took a friend to her start point in the Endinburgh relay marathon and picked up the friend coming into that stop and ran him back.
So I've been wandering about by the sea feeling lazy... but friend number 1 gave me £20 for running her over -which is far too much but she was so stressed and I couldn't argue with her... so kinda wondering what to do about that! Any ideas?
Friend number 2 bought me luch when we got back as he got money from a gig he played last night and wouldn't hear of me paying.
So I've been out andabout all day, gallavanting in the sun - but I haven't spent a penny, making it to NSD 9. more to go and I'll hit my target - and I'm not cutting it as fine as I was last month either.
Will catch up with you all soon.

Just a quick declare from me. Yesterday I had my haircut and went grocery shopping so was quite 'spendy'. Today I managed my 9th NSD (partly because its too hot to go anywhere and partly cos its 2days before payday).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Morning everyone! Lovely day here - so far!
Managed another yesterday as had no inclination to venture further than my back garden! So that's 8!
Listed a few things on ebay last night so fingers crossed!
Today will be low spends - Im going for a cooked chick which we will have for tea tonight and tom with salad. Last week , while we were away, I dont think any meal came without chips. I rarely eat chips at home, so Im feeling a bit overweight!;)
Other than that Im off to the doc for my fortnightly blood tests, then the library and post office.
Still knitting away - I did another couple of hats for the charity bag last week. Im going to my Mum's this afternoon for a "Master Class" in how to "pick up stitches" so I can finish my cardigan! Its all good!:D
Back to work tomorrow so Im making the most of my last day off -
Have a lovely day everyone:j
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0
