Still stuck on 8, I'm afraid, but tomorrow definitely will be a NSD as I ain't goin' nowhere! Then I have 3 days in a row at work, so at least one of those should be a NSD, which means I will hit my target of 10.

Tea tree oil as skin toner - great for putting neat on spots or cold sores, but probably a bit harsh to use neat as toner, best dilute it down with cooled boiled water or maybe rose water. Or just get damp cotton wool or pads and sprinkle one or two drops of the oil on.

Great news on the Tesco vouchers deal, Herby, just wish I had the self control to save my vouchers up and not spend them immediately!

    Welcome Natasha86!

Well done on the clubcard vouchers Herbaholic, that shows some impressive self control to save them all up!

3dogs - Billy is so cute!! I want one!!

Spend day for me unfortunately, been at work all day (ridiculously hot to be working!) so treated myself to a nice organic cider to have tonight. Watching a film with step-son now as DH is at his football club presentation, have finally managed to de-stress myself after my little tantrum last night! :o:o

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weather :):) xx

That's where this challenge really helps, katenut, once you've been doing it for a few months - you start thinking ahead and that's how you get the NSDs and avoid spending on unnecessary tat...

You're doing brilliantly, though, so don't kick yourself too hard. 9 is a good amount to be on now, you've still got plenty of time to meet your target.

    Keep smiling..

Thanks Spoon!! The encouragement really helps - several times I've got a NSD purely as I love declaring another one on here :)
And I'm not missing the unnecessary tat at all! xx

Aww they're simply gorgeous!! I do really miss having a dog, my old girl lives with my mum now, its not the same as having her at home with me. We get strays at work all the time, might smuggle one home - do u think DH would notice?! :D

Well, that would depend on whether you got a chihuahua or a wolfhound

    And hello to everyone else:
thrifty fifty: good for you for treating yourself to a bar of chocolate - hope you enjoy it. You got some great bargains today by the sounds of it - and the ninety nine of course, who could resist one of them on a boiling hot day like today.;)
Fingers crossed for no 13 tomorrow:)
Keiss21: another busy day chez Keiss by the sounds of it:p. Hope the damson tree has now been felled and seeds planted. Bit hot in the greenhouse by the sounds of it:eek:....

Herby: Of course you can do it - liking the positive attitude!:j
Well done on the clubcard vouchers - that’s brilliant - bet DH is really proud of you for being so organised and for thinking ahead.:T
Re spending vouchers - definitely a no spend day in my book as you’ve already spent the money to get the vouchers. Anyone have any different ideas?
Hiding purse (or not taking it out with you) is working really well for lots of us. Good luck for Mon, Tues and Weds:)
katenut: glad you’ve managed to de-stress yourself after yesterday.:T
Hope you enjoyed the cider - you deserve it after yesterday;)

And another one for me today as well - taking me up to no 17:j:j
Too hot to go anywhere near any shops today. I was intending to go to a local nursery to get some plants but couldn't even be bothered to do that - will go during the week when it's quieter.

Off to do my usual update now, so see you all tomorrow.

    'night all

  • Morning all, had a very spendy day yesterday as there are quite a few sales on and I stocked up on bargains. Mainly presents for all the birthdays that my DC get invited to, there seems to be at least one a week per child at the moment. Very pleased with the price of some of them - might have to nip back and get a few things for Christmas too. It'll save room in our suitcases when we come back from the UK at the end of the summer = more Marmite, twiglets and school bars instead :D

Taking the DC out for the day today so definitely not a NSD. Will try harder tomorrow when at least one of them will be back at school.
