Got the cold shivery need to stay on the sofa lurgy today so have had a nsd as well. Got to do some shopping tomorrow to make up for it though;)
Awww, hope you feel better soon Dorastar, it's no fun having a cold at any time, never mind when the weather is nice!

Declaring today as my 10th NSD!! :j Really pleased with this...may even consider upping my target....I'll see how things go the rest of this week. Tomorrow is definitely not going to be an NSD, then hopefully I can hold out until Friday before I spend anything else.

Hoping to get DH and DS2 organised to put the new netting on the fruit cage this afternoon...then hopefully we will have wonderful soft fruit later on in the year. The redcurrant bush is dripping with fruit, as are the three blackcurrant bushes. Lots of jam/jelly-making ahead methinks!

Right, off to get the men moving...will try and get things underway before the cricket 20-20 final starts at 4.30....looks like we may need the radio out in the garden methinks! :)

Thrifty Fifty: You are way too organised for this thread!

Nottoobadyet: Great news on the new home and :T for the MSE price!

Yesterday was grocery day so a big spend there, though not as high as last weeks :). It did include more school trousers for DS1/2, they've finally grown a bit :). We have a large G3orge section at Asd4 so it's very handy (and tempting) to clothes shop when we should be food shopping! I thought I might get away with handing down DS1s clothes to DS2. Unfortunately, they are the same size :(. There's only 15 months between them and people ask me all the time if they are twins (and this started when DS2 was only 9 months old!).

    NSD 13 today though :T

Ended up shopping at MrA yesterday instead of MrW but I can use the money off voucher next week instead.
I'm declaring today as a NSD but strictly speaking it's not because I had to spend 63p on some dwarf french bean to plant out. They should have been included in yesterday's shop but they were out of stock. I had to get them today because otherwise it would have meant another week before I had a chance to put them in the ground. As it was, I had to dash in and out between the rain showers but at least they're in now and the waterbutt's filling up!

So now I'm up to no 9/16.

    Have a good week

Oooh, that sounds good NTBY, making a note in my diary as I speak - it's years since I've been to Camden Lock....

I've always fancied an unfortunate piercing - maybe I can pluck up the courage after a few bevvies:rotfl::rotfl:

Shopping trip go well? Hmmmm...... well that depends on how you look at it I suppose. And I haven't yet dared total up my spends.
 Finally plucked up the courage to update my spreadsheets tonight

Grocery spend for the month jumped from £44.85 to £88.61 in just one day !!!!

Toiletries & Cleaning came to another £1.56

'Others' came to £17 without the bedding (3 boxed sets of CDs and a pack of poppers/hooks)

And the bedding came to a staggering £73.50
Not as bad as it could have been though, as that was for four sets (2 double sheets with 2 king sized quilt covers and 8 pillow cases, plus 2 single sheets, 2 single sized quilt covers and 4 pillow cases), and just one change for the double bed (king quilt) came to not much less than that when I bought it as we moved in here 8 years ago -- which is the stuff I'm now replacing :o

All these new homes; we'll have to sort out a timetable for all the house-warming parties! There's Urg's nuptials & Skaps' promotion too don't forget so a full social calender ahead :j
We like Ace of Cakes Karen--amazing what those very talented folk can do with a bit of sponge & a piping bag!--& feared the new Cake Boss series would be a mere imitation but is looking to be almost as good. For those who have not seen them, these are two programmes that concentrate on different bakeries who make incredibly specialised celebration cakes.

I finally succumbed to the lure of the now nationally recognised AppF00d--as seen on tv just in the week--so my nsd total remains on 10.

Thanks BigMumma, I was wondering about Ace of Cakes:)

We have a housewarming party in Camden Lock at the end of June - need to add that to our diaries asap. Unsuitable piercings are on the agenda;)...

Ooh I can see you did have a good day out - I love the NT for free days out:)
pure dead dopey: :j well done for no 8 - halfway there now - brilliant!
Seems like you’ve stopped impersonating Darth Vadar a bit too early - we need you there for Brighton!!! ;)
Hope the nose stopped running and you’re feeling tons better
verynewmoneysaver: well done for no 4:j - halfway there now, that’s fantastic! Keep going!:)
Nottoobadyet: :jwell done for no 7 - only one more to go to get over the halfway mark - brilliant!:)
And I’m so pleased you’ve now got somewhere to live - great news!:j
BDINI: ooh, liking the low spend day. Well done on the bargain dress and what a lovely friend to buy you just what you wanted - that’s brilliant!:)

Oh dear to both DS’s being the same size - not good for handing down clothes:(....
TheBees: well done for no 9 :j- well over halfway now, that’s brilliant!
You’re sounding very organised on the gardening front:)

    And hello to everyone else:
thrifty fifty: love your toiletries audit, you’ve got some great stuff there. :)
I did something similar last year and was gobsmacked to find I had 12 (yes 12!) bottles of quite expensive shampoo closeted away that I had no recollection of buying.... Needless to say I’m still using it....
Isn’t it strange that we can keep on buying stuff that we don’t need until all of a sudden the penny drops:(...
Dorastar: Hope you enjoyed your relaxed day - sounds good!:)
Well done for menu planning - I find it really works and helps to cut down massively on spending. Checking out special offers on toiletries can save a fortune as well - good luck!
slowlyfading: hope the liquid gold and other shopping weren’t too expensive :)

Well I've managed another one today as well, taking me to no 13:j:j. I was going to go looking for some bargains today but managed to resist the temptation and had a very busy day around the house.

Off to do the usual update now, see you all tomorrow

    'night all
