Good luck in your new home Elfen! Hope the moving went well, and you get some well earned 'me' time when you get settled in.
NSD number 7 for me today so just about on target - hoping to up my target next month though so need to do a bit better first. Took the neddy out for a nice sunny evening ride tonight with my best mate, where once we would have met for after work drinks in the pub. Got chatting about money and discovered she is in a similar situation with her debts - its funny how we keep it all hidden from our nearest and dearest isn't is? I would never have thought she was having problems, but was nice to talk to someone who's going through what i'm going through.
Have been toying with the idea of starting a diary on here to put my random thoughts on, and keep track of my debt free quest - do any of you have a diary, and do you find it helps? I'm so paranoid, I'd be worried that no-one would be interested!!xx
Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
No chance of an NSD for me today, I moved into my new place!
Tomorrow may be different
Brilliant news, elfen, really pleased you've got out, you can make a fresh start now. I really hope you find the happiness and peace of mind you deserve.
Take care

You look at the scraggy bit of pork marinating in stuff in the fridge, and the muse deserts you so you nip out to the shop for a meat pie, totally screwing up your chance of a NSD.....Oh well, onwards and upwards...
Been there, Nargle, many times, only it wouldn't be a meat pie with me - it would be egg mayonnaise with cress on a lovely fresh-baked white roll from our local bakery.... heaven.....The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

katenut: well done for no 7 :j- nearly halfway there now so definitely on target.
When you actually start talking properly to people (rather than superficial chit-chat) it’s surprising how many are actually in debt - lots more than you would originally think...
Quite a few posters on here have diaries - have a look on the diary forum, you’ll see a few familiar names. Might be an idea to post on some of them to ask for their thoughts? If you decide to go for it, you’ll probably find you get lots of visitors:)....
And hello to everyone else:
pure dead dopey: oh no - I was liking the sound of the sexy drawl (always fancied one of those myself..), but not so sure about the runny nose and sore throat. OH needs a clip around the ear for saying you sound like a drunken navvie - men:eek:...
Hope the fridge re-stocking wasn’t too expensive and that the aliens are keeping you company and bringing you lots of warming drinks:)
katenut: good for you for putting in all the effort with your horse - she is beautiful and obviously gives you lots of affection in return.:A
Hoping you managed to resist the lure of online spending:)
TheBees: :eek:arrgghhh to the weather - same in the north west today, where’s the summer gone?:(
Oh no, shame about the NSD yesterday, but you’ve made up for it today
slowlyfading: hope the haircut goes well tomorrow and you’re pleased with it:)
Well Ive managed another one today, taking me to the dizzy heights of no 11:j:j
Off to do the usual update before I fall asleep at the keyboard:(:(
'night all

Hi everyone,
My goodness isn't this month flying past? I've had NSD 2 and 3 this week. I'm going to have to really pull my socks up if I'm going to make my target this month. I've had a quick look through my diary this morning and compared to the first half of the month, I've not got too much scheduled.
Glad to see that everyone else is zooming towards their targets :T:T:TCC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Will have to be on the road early on Monday though, as I have to be home in time to get to work at 1pm
It's my first time away since a couple of nights at the same place back in 2004! Got the dog in December of that year, and can't take him with me - so the cost of kennels makes going away tooooo expensive. Got to make the most of a 'built-in dog sitter' while I still can I guess
(ETA: Actually, just remembered I had 2 nights away in Jan 2006. That was for a crafting weekend in South Wales immediately before my 40th, and was my present to myself! But it's still over 4 years since I was away)
Milk will probably survive the weekend, as I'm picking up a load of his favourite pop from Mr A today (as long as they have some in). It's an 'own brand', so I can't get it anywhere else
Update: well done for no 10:j - brilliant - you’re going to be the first one at target this month, definitely
Sorted out my shopping list last night using the Mr T and Mr A websites to compare prices and decide what's coming from where. Going to swing by Mr M first though, and double check a couple there against things that aren't on offer at the others. Need DS's yoghurts from Mr M anyway, and then need A!di (or Lid!) for milk - so looking at a huuuuuuge (for me) grocery spend today.... probably around the £45 mark in total
TheBees: :eek:arrgghhh to the weather - same in the north west today, where’s the summer gone?:(But it was back to about half full by lunch yesterday, and two-thirds by bed-time
Wasn't impressed to get up to fog/mist this morning thoughThat and torrential rain are my least favourite types of weather for m/way driving, and I have to do a one junction stretch this morning to get to the retail park with both Mr A and Mr T

Today isn't a NSD and cannot be.
Tomorrow (Sunday) WILL be a NSD though so I'll have completed 3 by the end of the weekend.0
