    Morning All

Got to restock the fridge to-day as the DD, DH and DS will keep eating what I put in there!!!
Sexy drawl has blossomed into seriously sore throat with runny nose, so I am very glam, OH thinks I sound like a drunken navvie rather than anything alluring, he is such a romantic. So me and the aliens will just hunch on the sofa and hide from everyone.
Elfen, hugs, you are a strong, attractive woman, and something we always say in Scotland is what is for you, will not go by you!!!!

How did you manage that??? It's a dream come true to have a horse ... and to organise my time well enough to be able to devote to it.

    NSD #6 today :D

Hi Jet77 - she is a casualty of the recession!! Her owners couldn't afford to keep her as she is no longer fit for what they wanted to do with her, so they gave her to me :) Right place right time I suppose, but there are plenty more out there. Its been 6 months of hard work as she hadn't been ridden for 3 years, and was lame when I got her, but its finally paying off. Never look a gift horse in the mouth!!
The time thing is a problem though, the 6am mucking out in winter in the sleet and snow also gets to you after a while. Luckily I have friends who keep their horses at the same place, so we share out the work which saves on time.

A nice quiet day at work today, need to resist the urge to spend anything online though. Will report back later, hopefully should be a NSD though.

Hope the weather stays this glorious all weekend!! xx

NSD number 2 for me...Busy at home working on making some money because I'm selling things online, and selecting items to take to CEX/Cash Converters tomorrow when I have to go into town anyway.

Are you an Auld Reekie Jinty? I'm originally an lowland Eastie, then moved West for uni. Then went back to uni in Edinburgh. So have a mad hybrid accent that changes depending on where and who I'm talking to ;).
I was actually born in the great capital city, but headed off to Orkney before I was 2, then moved south to Caithness when 6 1/2. All of my mum's family are from Orkney (and many are still there), so I spent every hoilday "over the water". This means I had more of an Orkney accent than Caithness one when growing up. I went to uni in St Andrews, which sort of "anglesized" my accent a bit. So now it is an amalgamation, though still quite strong, considering I haven't lived in Scotland since 1982!!

As a Scottish ex-pat (who still had his Scottish accent after living in Canada for many years) once said: "Ah hevna foond a better wan!" :rotfl:

Oh I managed another NSD yesterday, so that's number 8, over half-way now!!
    :j

I went and saw my friend yesterday, and we decided to save going out for next Monday. I am taking her to the doctors in the morning and a hospital appointment in the afternoon. So we will have lunch out and pop into the garden centre before heading for the hospital. Hope she gets good news from the consultant.

Off to finish off the menu-plan before heading for the shops.

Have a great day folks...and weekend, may it produce lots of NSDs!!

cw18: well done for no 9 :j- only 2 more to go now, that’s brilliant!!:)
And I'm going to have to try and get them in ASAP. Going to have to shop today and/or tomorrow (must check milk situation before I head to work, as that's the only thing I may need today - rest has to wait for a trip further afield tomorrow). Need to get in some basics (like cereal, and the one DS likes best is only available at Mr A) and some treats for DS.......

Need the treats in before I drop the bombshell that (weather permitting) he could be fending for himself all next weekend, as OH has suggested a couple of possible trips for next weekend that I think will mean we're actually away for at least one night -- that's the closest I'll get to a holiday this year, so going to make the most of it :D
You’re doing great at resisting the whoopsies now.:T
Mainly 'cos I have no space to store any more - fridge and both freezers are bursting at the seams!! DS hasn't had any ice-cream in about 3 weeks, 'cos I needed the space for pies and batch-cooked meals ;)
Hope you had a good evening.:)
Had a FAB time thanks :)

    Good afternoon :)

I'd like to reserve 2 NSDs for the weekend please if I may, taking me up to 7 and 3 away from my target. Had my last spend today, and my last naughty food. Here goes to the new slimline, superfit financially Thrifty. I can't wait to embrace the new me.

Don't know if anyone else finds this, but when I use up another bottle of shower gel, and I can see the toiletries and makeup getting used up, and the stack going down, it's like a physical representation of change. I can see things around me starting to get organised, and the chaos clearing.

    xx

It's a grotty, cold, wet afternoon here in Devon so I'm staying in the warm until I head off to work this evening. :(

Yesterdays NSD was scuppered yesterday when I had to buy a bag of pasta but not going shopping today.

LadyfromVenice - I was a nail biter all my life (I'm in my 40's) until about 3 months ago when I was hypnotised! One session and I've not bitten since. In fact my nails are a bit too long now and I keep hitting the wrong keys on the keyboard!

No 5 for me today :j. Sorry I haven't been around much this week, I've had lots of college coursework to catch up on....grrrr!, still it's all done now, so hopefully a relaxing weekend lies ahead. :)

Have a great weekend everyone :):):).
