That is my lovely gorgeous beautiful horse (i'm not at all besotted with her, honestly!) - she is my only treat and the best thing I ever got. She is even a MSE horse - she is on free loan to me as long as I want her,

How did you manage that??? It's a dream come true to have a horse ... and to organise my time well enough to be able to devote to it.

    Thanks Spoon :)

    I know I'm just being a stroppy baby :D
    Thanks Curly :)

Just looking up some recipes-meesly tsp of this tsp of that. But one saving grace is that breakfast is larger than I have now, so that should fill me up.

Just dining on my last artery busting cheese and onion pasty, thorntons chocolate for pudding. All washed down with some diet coke and a cup of tea. I don't eat like this everyday, but just cramming as much in as possible during my last hours of bad food eating. Poor stomach will think the throat has been cut next week. Oh the hunger, I can feel it now.

    Hi thrifty fifty
You're not being a stroppy baby at all, far from it - you're reacting the same way that most of us would do in similar circumstances (as curlygirl has proved).

Once the shock has worn off properly and you've had a chance to come to terms with it properly, you'll find there are loads of things you can eat and you can indulge occasionally - it's not a death sentence. We have a really good friend who is seriously diabetic (injections 3-4 times a day) and even he manages to go totally off the rails occasionally - he just makes up for it over the following days. It's just like being on a diet really and I bet you'll feel much healthier ...

Feel free to rant though if you need to..

PS: Wholemeal pasta is delicious - much tastier than the white stuff - we eat it all the time and it doesn't half fill you up. It's lovely in pasta salads:D:D

LOL - that's the kind of thing I would do if it felt like my last supper! And the more you think 'I can't have...' the more you want it!

I was never hungry when I was following a low cholesterol plan.....which for me is a flipping miracle as I'm a greedy flipper! I didn't follow reciepes but I just omitted or substitued things. I don't remember measuring anything except sat fats.....and that could be a pain but you get into it and before you know it you can smell those pesky sat fats as you walk up and down the supermarket aisles. But there again I love veg so I guess that's how I filled up? I love cheese on pasta - I swapped to LF cheese. Not as nice but you get used to it and its better than nothing. The most difficult thing I found / still find, is eating out and eating at other peoples. When faced with a fabulous menu I can't make the sensible choice. I LOVE MY FOOD. And I can't stipulate to people that when I eat at their house for dinner they serve me a tasty meal that is low in saturated fats.

I don't eat particularly heathily at the moment - not by my standards anyway - but I still won't buy anything that is high in Saturated fat - I just can't put it in my basket. I choose wholemeal instead of white refined. My downfall is the free chocolate at work and eating out too often :(

Go easy on yourself and perhaps do it in stages? Don't go cold turkey on everything all of a sudden as you'll only crave it more

Oh and a NSD for meeeeeee!!!

    Great advice there curlygirl:T:T:T:T

And PS: can I have your job.....

Folk must be busy on their fancy dress for Brighton! Have we actually decided what night we're going yet? If it's Friday again I'll need to organise reinforcements at the Sally Anne to cope with the more...thirsty..amongst us *coughcurlyspoon* but if it's the Bank Holiday Monday, it's St Johns cuz of Keiss' toe & my foot! The vary naice lowkul connstabyewlairy have agreed to keep canine units away, given that some of us are intending to turn up as Ewok, Chewbacca et al & psych students from the uni will be on hand to debrief the poor souls who think they've been invaded like an Orson Wells radio play..have I forgotten anything ..don't think so but as you can see I've been rather busy calling in favours for this, so it had better be good! I've saved the best bit till last--if our cozzies are good enough, they'll let us bring up the rear of Gay Pride:j
We're definitely going to invade Brighton - not sure we've decided which day yet.

And, excuse me, what do you mean by the comment above - you know I only drink fizzy water - I hope you're not insinuating I get drunk:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My costume is all sorted, plaits and all:j:j

Good morning all. You know how it is when you wake up, with less than 4 hours before having to leave for work. You look at the scraggy bit of pork marinating in stuff in the fridge, and the muse deserts you so you nip out to the shop for a meat pie, totally screwing up your chance of a NSD.....Oh well, onwards and upwards...
