Wow, its been a few days since I have been on and I can't believe how many posts there are to catch up on. I feel like I am missing out ;). Loads has been happening by the sounds of it. Looks like I'll have to take a few hours over the weekend to have a good read. I am on NSD No. 5. I have been so busy working that I haven't had time to spend much money which is oh so great. Hope all is well with everyone.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning All :)

After being a naughty Thrifty for the past couple of days, I'm going to openly declare another naughty day today, but that is so that i can go to the £ shop and stock up on some chocolatey naughtiness for those days that have been a bit rubbish. Then I have a supply that I can delve into when emergencies call for it.

Hey there, good morning from a blustery Edinburgh!
Well, I'm chuffed today - car passed MOT without needing any work done! I took it to a new garage and had also booked it in for a service. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the guy phoned and said " I've had a quick look - you're car doesnt need servicing just now, bring it back in 6 mths. I'll just check your oil levels etc" Which he did and DIDNT CHARGE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! How about that then? Fabulous!:j
Plus today we got a tax rebate which we have been waiting for for about 6 weeks, hooray!:j
Spoon - thanks for pepping me up this last week or so :A- I've been struggling a bit, but MUCH better now! :) The knitting is going really well - finished the scarf and another couple of hats, so out of 2 100g balls I got 7 hats for tots and a scarf, not bad for £2 spend! I'm now onto a sleeveless cardi for myself - have nearly finished the back. Its in chunky wool, so knits up quickly. Really enjoying my new hobby!:)

Today will be a spend day - am off to get some groceries for taking on hols next Friday also need to fuel up car.

Have a lovely day all :j

Well I wish I'd stayed in bed already!! Woke up to bird poo all over the window -- 4 huge dollops!!! And £125 of bank charges as my paycheque took a day longer to clear (I forgot about the bank holiday):eek::eek::eek::eek:

Loving the 'vet' stories - I work at a vets and you have to learn to laugh about 'accidents', they happen every day. DH is quite used to me coming home with some unmentionable substance down my trousers luckily.

I'm gonna declare very early today that it will be a NSD - as the lovely bank has taken all my money! Off for a day of chaos at work now, hope you all have a good day. This time last week I was in Portugal without a care in the world :(:( xx

It is indeed, Natty, but I think the sight of us in our Star Wars costumes might frighten even the bikers away;);)
    NNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't say that bigcry.gif...while I can admire certain aspects of a Lambretta & the cut of a Bennie, my heart will always belong to Norton & Triumph :A Can't for the life of me tho, understand why one of the world's biggest rock bands became associated with the Dark Side...so much for staying off Star Wars--sorry :o

Doo-doo bags! We get me muvva to save her bread bags for us [I make our bread] & they are used to freeze stuff, or for packed lunches etc, then become doo-doo bags. Guess it helps only having one pooch, but thought I'd just mention it ;)

I'm off out wiv muvva in a bit, but can declare No 5 for yesterday.

Declaring today as NSD no. 4 :j, as the only thing I plan on doing is visiting my friend in her nursing home this afternoon...so no spending planned!! :T

Not long up, as I stayed up most of the night with the election stuff....why did I bother!!!

I voted @ 9.40 last night...and I was the only person there apart from the three election officers...all those people unable to vote should have come here (well, I know, not possible :o)!!

So totally behind with my plans for today, but I'll manage. DH and DS2 are off out for tea tonight (Annual Rugby Club Dinner), so I can have what I like :D...within reason! I have just had the left-over porridge from yesterday (made it for DS1 who didn't want it)....so won't need much before tea time...I'll top up with fruit during the afternoon.

Off to the Malvern Spring Show tomorrow...I am helping with a stall from 3 to 6, so I have the rest of the day to wander round at my own pace...taking my trolley! As I am helping, I get in and parked for free, but I can see that I will be buying something tomorrow. I often find great deals on garden stuff, as well as presents for birthdays/Christmas. Getting DH to do top up the food-shop (F&V,
Milk and bird seed) tomorrow morning...thus packing in all our spending into a single day over the weekend.

I at last managed to get my trainers on yesterday...a bit painful, but I will be able to wear them for a bit tomorrow. Rain is forecast, so I will take my wellies too, which fit much better!! The toe is still a bit sore, thanks for asking Spoon, it is still weeping so I have to keep a dressing on it when I go out. This is helping to release the pressure but does make some footwear a tight fit, not sure how long this will last though!

Off to have a shower to see if I can actually wake up properly, then get some potting-on done before going out.

Have a great weekend everyone, will pop back on Sunday to see you all....perhaps we will have a government by then ;)!
