Help! Trying to sell house with no luck

Internally the rooms look really nice to me. I am a bit puzzled by the last photograph of the front/rear of the property??. It looks totally different to the first picture or am I missing something? The first picture (which I assume is the front) of the house looks a little barren and could perhaps do with a softer kerbside feel, i.e. weed the paving stones and perhaps put a few pots out, hanging baskets. I am not sure what to make of the description of the yard, is this just a parking place or is there actually room to sit?
The last photo is a parking space, The kerb has been lowered. Shed and bins are also by there. OH can fit his big Volvo in this space so it's not small.
I agree about the front garden, I have put weedkiller down and I am going to buy some plants to make it look nicer. We do have a plant by the door as well.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Doing a quick rightmove search for properties of similar pricing and 2 beds brings up a massive amount of properties (66 priced from £70k-£80k for example).
Take a look at this one:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-15144945.html
Similar in price but with a garden.
Or this one:

(it's a bungalow so slightly different market perhaps but again a v large garden).
The picture of the front of your house should be the first pic you see on rightmove (in my opinion!) but instead on yours you see a bedroom. Some of the pics are duplicated too which is annoying for people scrolling through hundreds of properties.
The pic of the back yard (is this where you park?) is a bit drab, I would liven it up with some plants/pots to bring a bit of colour, and the same with the front of the house. As I said, inside I think it looks really nice and inviting.
I agree there is a lot of competition. very annoying.
I don't know why that is, I will contact them about the first picture thank you.
I will be sorting out the gardens at the weekend.:beer:No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

The first house looks much smaller than mine inside.
The second one we actually went to see and there was a problem with the floor in the living room so not sure if that would be competition, but there are too many similar properties up for sale. nightmare! No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

I am getting deja vu, I swear I have viewed these details before on MSE ....
ETA I have; in November I suggestedWeedkiller your front yard and put an evergreen pot plant out for a bit of colour, consider painting the back render something other than grey and add more plants or take BOTH the photos down off Rightmove! Tidy up the far end of the kitchen, all the toiletries, the junk pile in picture 16. I don't normally like flowers and bowls of fruit but the house needs less clutter on surfaces and more colour .....
The weedkiller and evergreen plants needed to be done before the photos, or new photos need to be taken. If you won't paint the back then take the photos down off Rightmove - NOBODY is going to view because they loved your wheelie bin! There are way too many toiletries in the bathroom and bedroom, put them away for photos and viewings. If you can't have flowers can you have indoor plants (cheap in IKEA)?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Yeah but I don't think just weedkilling the garden is going to ultimately sell my house, I think It might help but I have made loads of other changes inside. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

We will never know now as you didn't bother!Making a house look well cared for always helps attract interest, otherwise developers would not waste money on show homes. Subconsciously some buyers may assume that lack of care to the garden may extend to lack of care of the roof or guttering or windows, also it may make them think money may be required to resolve any maintenance issues. Clutter indoors subconsciously makes some buyers think there is not enough storage, i.e. the house is too small. Ultimately dropping the price by a sensible amount will sell your house, but you are not willing to do that either.

Prices around Durham are below 2005 levels.
i.e. -8% below the £80k sale in Jan 2006 = £75k.
Look at the dip at the right hand end of the graph...benefit from that on your move up the ladder and you'll be able to reduce what you need from selling.

I have just accepted an offer on mine of £215 (subject to survey). It went on at £265K - and that was not me putting it on high either. So the old adage of price sells is true. The one you buy will have dropped too so just chill and move on.:)0

From a completely aesthetics point of view I'd say the front and rear photos make the house look uncared for. I'd worry what else has been neglected hidden under the fresh looking inside paint.
It also looks grey when compared with the photos on this property

This could be in a much worse area, or at risk of flooding (river nearby) but for me, looking as an outsider to the area, I'd view this one before yours.0
