Southport Branch just refused to sell one to my sister - contacted head office and they said they are £74.99.
I have rang several stores today and hoorah i thought when i located one - they refused to put it on one side for me till the morning. Asked to speak to manager - told would ring me back. In the meantime i rang Head office to speak to a Senior Customer Service adcisor who has helped me in the past - awaiting call.
Just got call from branch where i found it and was told its just an empty box - feel like ive been lied to here - they also said that the price was not correct and Head Office confirmed it was incorrect.0 -
There's clearly something going on with Boots prices (apart from the obvious in relation to £10 electrical bargains!)
Have they abandoned being a national chain with consistent pricing?
In the last month I've been made to feel like a criminal for enquiring about prices paid by friends in other stores, most recently Ruby & Millie cosmetics and Osh Kosh children's clothes.0 -

If your wife gets a chance after work to check the stock ... I wouldn't be surprised to find that all stock has mysteriously been sold!;) I located stock approx 2:15, OH called me after his final visit just before 3 to say stock had gone! Try calling the store you visited and ask if they have any stock!
Yep, as you said Ally, there was a glass cabinet that contained FOUR XBOX Packages at 2pm this afternoon, now mysteriously have all gone as confirmed just by my wife, very very annoyed not so much that I have missed out on an XBOX (I already have one, would have made a great xmas present for my brother), but the fact that whereby I should have been sold one, I was lied to. What is the point Boots even having these on the POS system, they may as well have just took them off sale and advertised it to staff only!0 -
phil_2006 wrote:They wasn't marked up at that price, still £74.99 but when it scanned through the till it comes up as £10. The staff were not away of the new sale prices at first so if you get a SA that says they are still £74.99, it's best to get them to check it through the till. HTH, Good luck!0

Hi, just rang my local store and got 3 xboxes in stock for £10 each.....this sounds cheap, has anyone got a link to the xbox package so i can see exactly what it is and whether my 8 year old would like one for christmas, seems cheap to me thanks julie0

When I bought my GBA and DS the barcode on the boxes didn't work. The SA had to manually enter the item code from the shelf label to get the price - maybe they will have to do that? But by now EVERY Boots employee will have stripped the shelves of every electrical item, or if their managers refuse to sell at £10 then the MANAGERS will wait till close of play and strip the shelves themselves at £10!
Shame that after giving Boots a big hand earlier in this post they decide to throw it away with lying customer services and sales assistants. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

Darn! Are they actually allowed to refuse (lie) to sell an item to a customer and then allow staff to buy them??I'm sure IF I ask CS to investigate what happened to me it'll show that staff did buy the items, after refusing to sell them to us. there will be a record when they are processed through the till as a staff purchase.
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0 -
Anybody know if they are reducing the gameboy micro's etc in the same manner? Or is this just the xbox, I got one for £75 worth of points last week thinking of taking it back for a refund and then buying it again to get the £65 back on my card.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

If there's a box, there's something to go in it. It could have been reserved by someone.
Did you ask the store to check it against their POS list that another MSE user mentioned?I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!I thunk I've made you think for a minute!:j :rotfl: :j0
