Oh well! OH hasn't managed to get it yet! Was on break and has to eat!

He will try on next break.

Speaking of honouring the price, HO CS rep did say that it was the store's discretion as to whether they will honour that price and that they can not get involved. She did also say that the price showing on the HO system was £74.99. She was rather surprised that I had located one, she said she had sooo may calls about the Xbox and was unable to locate any :D

Just spoke to customer services, their system still states £74.99 investigating it as a till error, those that have had this deal have done very well indeed.

Nope, they are for £10 aparently (in-store reduction). My OH just went back, and guess what? no more stock - aparently there were 2 in stock! He spoke to another SA (who he recognised - used to work with OH) this time who stated that they went through the till as £10 and were sold at £10 ... to whom??? STAFF:rolleyes:

Then I was lied to instore saying it was a till error, and customer services backed up that it was a till error. No doubt the stocks that were left at my local Boots branch will no doubt have already been sold or put aside for staff now, will get my wife to try looking after work, but very very annoyed about this if I was lied to, I should have been sold one of those systems.

Exactly how I feel! Was given the excuse of 'sorry, no barcode' though:rolleyes: Although, CS did not state it was a till error, they did say it was showing as £74.99 and it could have been reduced further, but it was the stores own decision if they sell at that price. Anyway, spoke to my local store and was advised that it is a discontinued line and that they 'may' get more stock:confused:

If your wife gets a chance after work to check the stock ... I wouldn't be surprised to find that all stock has mysteriously been sold!;) I located stock approx 2:15, OH called me after his final visit just before 3 to say stock had gone! Try calling the store you visited and ask if they have any stock!

Sounds like I was one of the lucky ones!

The SA that served me at first did look confused by the fact that it was going through at £10, but later she found out that it is the true price as there was list of reductions the store had received and that quoted that it was going down to that price, along with most of the other electrical audio/video equipment.

As soon as the staff found out though they were all around the display like, well, brown stuff on a stick, price checking the items on the till, no doubt saving them for themselves.

I honestly wished now after he told me that there was a till error I would have gone ahead and actually tried purchasing it anyway!....what would they have done been dishonest and override the £10 that was showing up on the till and input £74.99 ???

    IT IS NOT AN ERROR.

Get the staff to check there POS sheets. Thats what they did in Gloucester and ITS ON THERE AS £10 !!!!!!!!!

The staff are taking them for themselves. After I got mine, I overheard the staff saying "missed out on that one then".

This whole `till malfunction` stuff is rubbish ! The staff are just bagging the bargains for themselves!

Well then if they do get more stock in, I'll have no chance. There's nothing stopping the staff from grabbing them as they come into stock, so there'll be no chance of them getting to the shop floor icon9.gif
